There are so many great bands and composers out there who work on soundtracks/end themes for anime. I want to know which ones are people's favorites. When listing, I guess you should list the anime as well as the composer/band.

As for me, I'm a huge fan of the composer Michiru Oshima, who did a lot of work on songs from Full Metal Alchemist. Beaming Sunlight and Indelible Sin are just beautiful songs, and there are so many more.

Another favorite would be Yoko Kanno (and I'm certain everyone knows what animes she has worked on, or at least a few). All her work on GITS and Cowboy Bebop are just spectacular.

So what does everyone think? Who's your favorite band/composer for an anime?

Lately I've been listening to a bunch of music from Inuyasha, as well as Bleach and Gundam Seed.

Namie Amuro sings one of my favorite end themes for Inuyasha (Come), and I'm a big fan of Rie Fu, who sing Life Is Like A Boat (and end theme for Bleach). The High and Mighty Color are just terrific! They did the song Pride, for Gundam Seed (or is it GSDestiny?), as well as Ichirin no Hana for Bleach. T.M. Revolution is great too, doing work for Rurouni Kenshin and Gundam.

Asian Kung-Fu Generation and the Pillows round out the bands who produced scores of great music for some of my favorite animes. AKFG did great work on Naruto's various themes, as well as Rewrite (FMA), and are generally a terrific band. The Pillows just made FLCl rock!

All people who did music for Bleach are great in my eyes too! Beat Crusaders, UVERworld, Orange Range, Yui Horie, etc.

Obviously, Kanno is at the top of the list. My favorite song list from her goes on for far too long. I like Oshima's work on FMA as well. A few other composers I enjoy are: Toshihiko Sahashi's work on The Big O (Stand a Chance, The Words, Apologize - Bleeker St.), Yuki Kajiura's Noir OST (Canta Per Me, Romance, Corsican Corridor), Yuji Ohno's smooth Lupin jazz tunes, and Taku Iwasaki who had some great compositions for R.O.D. and Witch Hunter Robin, just to name some that haven't been mentioned. And of course, who doesn't want more Rockman soundtracks to hear some of Igao's work?!

As far as bands or other singers, the Pillows, Nana Kitade, TM Revolution, L'Arc en Ciel and Asian Kung-Fu Generation are some of my faves. I've been listening to "Days" by Flow, from Eureka Seven, a lot recently too.

Please refrain from double posting. It's easy enough to wait until someone else posts before adding on a second of your own. If it's really important, then just PM a mod or admin to edit your previous post.

As for me, I'm a huge fan of Maaya Sakamoto. o/ Saw her perform live last year, which was pretty much a dream come true. I also love Psycho le Cemu, but they disbanded last year when the lead singer got caught with drugs. Sad panda.

Oh easily the TM Revolution music from Gundam SEED. They are the only music of his that I enjoy. Though, I haven't heard that much of him.

Alot of people who've seen The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi are addicted to Hirano Aya, especially "God Knows..."

Yoko Kanno is a given, her work for GitS and Cowboy Bebop is nothing short of genius. I'm also a huge fan of the pillows, and I listen to them whenever I can. They made flcl even better than it already was.

As far as specific singers go, I rather like a lot of the stuff done by Ai Maeda, and a singer who I don't know the precise name of, but appears to appear fairly frequently on Pop N Music under the name Sana.

Otherwise, I've been rather addicted to the Shin Megami Tensei Devil Children character singles lately. The Theme of Black Evil is approximately 31459 types awesome.

Ooh I love Sana.
She's such a good singer, and Jelly Kiss is such a good song.

And her real name is Sanae Shintani.

I enjoy songs by Kouji Wada (he sang all the Digimon opening themes plus a few extras in Frontier). I also enjoy listening to T.M. Revolution and "Melissa" by Porno Grafitti.

But my absolute favorite music would have to be "Advent : One-Winged Angel".

I recently became a fan of Beat Crusaders. They've done a lot of good music, including the 5th Bleach theme (Tonight, Tonight), and Hit in the U.S.A. (from Beck).

Homemade Kazoku is also pretty good, from what I hear. They've done a few themes for anime, including Bleach and Eureka 7.

My favorite group altogether is Paradise Go! Go! For anime, they've only done Real Love (Zoids Genesis Ending #1) and Faraway (Major Ending #2) but I love all their songs and I especially love their PVs. (They're also a dance group and are very good at what they do)

Other favorites:
-Asian Kung Fu Generation (have almost all their songs)
-Mikumi Shimokawa
-UVERworld (Have most of their albums)
-MOVE (hell yes to them)
-KOTOKO
-Rie Tanaka

Btw, Wada Kouji didn't do the opening for Digimon Savers. Just a bit of FYI. :]

Dynamite Shuu did the opening for Digimon Savers (to those that did not know). Good band, but I haven't heard much of their work.

Nujabes and MINMI are great in Samurai Champloo! Battlecry and Shiki no Uta are two of my favorite songs.
