Okay, this is kind of a question to anyone who's played Battle Network 2, 3, or 4 (red sun) Basically, what pysical action did YOU have to do to activate the guts machine gun. For some reason, it's really hard to mash the B button that fast without doing something special.
For example, I have to clench my teeth in order to do it.

Oh heh...this seems kind of humorous...
I have to turn my GBA to the side while pressing B. _________________

I never really bothered with the Machine Gun; I always found it too difficult to activate.
Most of the time, anytime I activated it, it was the result of an accident. I do think, though, that I have tilted the system those times I've actually gotten it to work. _________________ Today, these three players are after Big Bucks! I imagine myself trying to capture a Pokémon while executing Guts Machine Gun...
What? It works for me! D: _________________

I had to spam the button with one finger, vertically. Of course it made all pretext of a strategy null and void but it DID keep me invincible for a few seconds. _________________

Heh, I just moved the GBA vertically and mashed it with my left hand's thumb. (since I am left-handed.) Works everytime. XD _________________

Interesting. Of course, I wouldn't know about the tilting because of my piracy :<
Since the orientation on it is Left handed for the A and B buttons and the Directional pad on the right, I have to switch hands and mash with my index finger sometimes. Bleh, I'm a terrible Pirate :< _________________ The time is come. Bid farewell to your bloodstained past.

Odd. I never had to do anything special to get the Guts Machine Gun to go off. Surely I'm not the only one. o.o _________________ (\ ºvº\ (\

I always found it fairly simple to pull off, but then again playing Mario Party a lot helps that drastically. Button mashing and button sequences are my specialty. _________________

It's not hard to do at all in BN 2 and 3. I just mash the B button with my right thumb really fast. I've practiced by mashing A to dump chips in the chip trader. I couldn't ever seem to get the Guts Machine Gun to fire in BN4. Maybe my speed was too low? |

Yeah. It shoots off like ten shots really quickly, then stops.
That's at least how I remember from BN3. I don't know about the BN4 Guts Machine Gun. I never really counted when using that one, all I remember about the Machine Gun from BN3 is that it inflicted 100 damage with a maxed out buster (Since it doubles buster rating as well) _________________ The time is come. I'm just good at button mashing and can do it whenever. Ask anyone who has played Mario Party with me and has faced off in any mini-game involving Button Mashing (the only one I can remember off the top of my head is Domination in Mario Party 4)
I don't use the Guts Machine Gun though because from what I remember, it causes the opponent to flinch. (aka flash and be somewhat invincible after recieving the attack)

Yes, it does indeed flinch the opponent when you spam the GutsMG.
As for me... I've only done so once, and I just placed the GBA on the ground, then I thwapped the B button very quickly with my closed kunckle. Minimal carpal tunnel! >_< _________________

With any high-speed button mashing, I put the GMA SP on my lap and mash the button furiously with one finger. I think I bite my lip, too. I have no idea why. XD _________________ - Sage |

Did it flinch in BN4. I liked the fact that you became invincible, otherwise, it would be crap. |

I get the same results as mega rock.exe, in EXE 3 I did it with ease (thus overusing it) however, I had to "push" and mash it really hard in EXE 4. For the record, I've been always good at button mashing and KH2 really improved my mashing even further. _________________

It's a lot easier to do when you are closer to the enemy. I abused it too. I'm so ashamed! :! |

Yes. The Guts Machine Gun has the potential to do 100 damage in Battle Network 3, so it causes flinching. Battle Network 4's Machine gun only has potential for 50 damage, but doesn't flinch the opponent.
Sometimes I think the souls from Battle Network 4 are better than the ones from Battle Network 5 ^^;; _________________ The time is come. Bid farewell to your bloodstained past.
