Ummm... Okay then. But I did not make this petition so I can't complain. Somtimes petitions dfo work, and other times they do not. _________________

LBD's manga petition 'sort of' worked. And apparently a bunch of protests about Danny Phantom and Fairly Odd Parents have got 'somewhere' and have Nick 'pondering' if they could/should bring the series back in schedule depending on the fanbase.
However, in this case I'd say an online petition might just not work. Real mediums such as letters to the WB Kids or so on can have much more impact than an online petition. _________________ Hecha en MÉXICO - Avatar by Me.

A couple things to note.
WB 11 is no more. The CW is a merge between UPN and WB 11. And they show no interest in showing anime. At least...I think it's called the CW.
The NT warrior dub was laughable. If we were to have it dubbed, I'd hope it'd be by a better company like Funimation. Hell, I'd even settle for VIZ. 4Kids just did a shitty job plain and simple.
Also, when you make a petition, it has to be well written and show some sort of intelligence other than one sentence.
And I don't even mind the names like "Lan and Megaman" As long as there's no mention of "JunkDataman" and things so ridiculous like that.
As well, the voices need to be in character. Netto/Lan is NOT an adult. His voice should be that of a fifth/sixth grader's voice.
<--ohnos, I complain too much. _________________ The time is come. Bid farewell to your bloodstained past.

Well...with me being in America it's the only version I've seen, and hey, it's better than nothing. Whenever I watch one in Japanese (and can't understand a word) I laugh at Lan and Megaman's ridiculously high voices... _________________ Salem Paroo, Guardman's roleplay character!

I suggest you listen to a twelve year old speak then, they're quite higher pitched than you seem to imagine. _________________

Really, instead of asking for it to show again, why not ask for the rest of the series (Stream, and so on) released in uncut DVDs? Wouldn't that be much better, rather than to watch it on the TV and have everybody complaining about it?
And instead of petition, it'll be so much better to have everybody write a letter, submit it, and then send a crapload of them to the studio. Demanding fanmails > petition. _________________

Agreed.
The biggest obstacle is the establishment of the new CW network, which as has been cited before, has no interest in showing anime of any sort. According to the tentative schedule that has been posted, it appears that the programming will remain more or less the same, sans the anime, of course.
I suppose, then, that all of the dub that we can hope for will be relegated to Toonami Jetstream exclusively. It remains to be seen if and when another network, perhaps even the CW itself, will pick it up. _________________ Today, these three players are after Big Bucks! if your gonna bring it back one way by complaining, then I'd hate to hear what 'the other' alternative is. |

...um. 4Kids has had abolutely nothing to do with the anime's english production whatsoever. Shopro got it in the beginning, and then they merged with VIZ and became Viz-Media, so Viz HAS been involved with it. Just because it's not treated like Naruto and such doesn't mean it's not the same company. It was dubbed specifically for Kids WB, so that's most likely why there was no uncut production of it.

I stand corrected.
Either way, the dubbing still sucked. _________________ The time is come. Bid farewell to your bloodstained past.

What exactly is there to agree with... ? We all know the dub has its flaws, but you can't deny that it helped the franchise achieve some extra popularity in the states, and if Kids' WB knew how to manage their network, it would probably be even more popular than it is. To us purists, yeah, it sucks, but to casual fans, it's a great series with good merchandise to follow it. I'd say, whatever supports and spreads the franchise, bring it on. _________________

That'd depend where you live. Most 12 years old around my location, heck, even at 10 are already developing deeper voices than Netto and Rockman in the Japanese version.
Rockman's VA in Mexico has had the exact same tone of voice since he was 11 when he began to work in the dubbing industry as the voice acting for Pokemon's protagonist.
Jimmy Neutron, Hey Arnold, etc., all had childrens dubbing them and they already were sounding much deeper than I was used to from hearing female actresses do the voices for male children; and these actors were 10-12 years old when they performed their roles.
Where I live at least, children's voices are changing already by that age, so technically, deeper pre-teenager voices, are as accurate as 'high pitched' Japanese voice actresses doing the role. Hence why it sounds more natural for some people if they sound "older". _________________ Hecha en MÉXICO - Avatar by Me.

You hit the nail right on the head for why I'm not happy. :P I'd rather it not be popular and the fandom be intelligent, small and tight-knit. But mostly intelligent.
Most of the merchandise doesn't make it up our way, so that's not a selling point for me either. XD
I don't want the franchise to flounder, but I much prefer the quieter atmosphere back when it was just BN 1 and BN 2 and fifteen episodes of fansubs and one planned season of an anime. You can tell that someday I'll be a crochety person who says "When I was your age I walked sixteen kilometres to school barefoot in the snow, uphill both ways!"
Hell, I already rant enough about how the 90s should be brought back, I imagine everyone around me is used to it by now. >.>
You say "what is there to agree with"...and my reply is "its existance". However, I respect that you have a right to your opinion as well as the others whose only access to EXE is through the dub, so I'd obviously rather not make public the litany of complaints I have to say on that subject. We'll just leave it there. :) _________________ One of the three EXE sisters! *Armstrong-style pose*

?!
Since when has Fairly Oddparents been cancelled?? That's the only show they flipping air on Nickelodeon! I assumed it was still pretty popular, seeing as how it seems to be on ALL DAY LONG. |

Nope, it's cancelled. The Jimmy Timmy Power Hour 3 was the last episode produced. _________________ One of the three EXE sisters! *Armstrong-style pose*
