This is my second full japanes rockman game (first being 4.5), well I'v played number 3 white version, and also I and my friends beat the game togeather (sence they had blue version).
So far this game, just like I heard, is just like blue version, but I would like to know if there are any diffrences in blue version, and black besides the jack in anamaction.

| Hmm... I thought the Black version has no difference from Blue, as during the dub the version name just changed. For what reason? I don't know... |

I might be wrong, but I think the entire reason Black was different was because you could get Punk chips after defeating him, instead of only zenny. Or was that some other secret deal? I haven't played that version, but I thought Punk had something special to do with Black.

It simply meant that you could fight Punk.EXE. The white version lacks Mr. Famous entirely. Blue also has Bowlman instead of Mistman.
There are no differences, gameplay-wise, between the English Blue version and the Japanese Black version. |

Eh, no. Just the name change. As with all other ownage secret chips, Punk's chip could only be gotten via special event. |

| Your all forgeting that they ripped out the Plug-In sequence in both versions leaving it with a white screen yet the music was still there. But yea most of the damage to the english version was cosmetic & removal of the Punk chip (I sharked one in & If you used a shark to get it, all you get after beating punk is a No Data sign) |

That's not quite true, you get Zenny if you beat Punk but if you've got Collect equipped you get No Data.

There was no change in that regard whatsoever. You can't win the Punk chip in the Japanese version - it was only officially available via special events in the past. |
