The Dream World Vacation!
A MatchxMaddy fluff. ( What? Don’t look at me like that!)

IMPORTANT NOTE: All characters from the MegaMan game/Anime series are copyright of Capcom. There will also be other characters from other games/Animes/etc. in this Fan Fic, so whichever company they were made by, they are copyright of that company. ( Example: Digimon = Bandai, Klonoa = Namco, etc.) Also, I follow the storyline of the Anime, but use Dub names. Alright? By the way, this story takes place during the early parts of Stream. ( BEFORE the WWW moved back to DenTech City.)

Haly K’s History Lesson of the Three Worlds ( In case you haven’t read my last fic.):

Unknown to humans, there are three worlds, “dimensions” one could say, that exist. One is the Human World, where humans obviously live, the Cyber World, which is the Internet of the Human World, and the Dream World, where the ideas of the Human World come to life.

The Star Pendant, which is one of three pendants that keep the worlds in balance, is currently in the hands of the daughter of the Diva Lephise, Maddy Iroaya. A short time ago, Maddy was kidnapped by the last of the Masters, Trigoya, along with her loyal minions Janga and Beelzemon, so that the Star Pendant’s powers could be used to take over all Three Worlds. Fortunately, Maddy’s friends came to her aid.

Now, Maddy and her new boyfriend, Mr. Match, are going to take a needed vacation...

Haly K’s Comment: Yes, I KNOW I didn’t mention in my last fic that there are actually three Pendants, the Star Pendant included. I’ll explain later in this story. Or in one of my future stories. Whichever way works. >.>;

~CHAPTER 1~

“ I don’t think we should do this...” Match said.

“ Why not? After what we’ve been through, I think we deserve this vacation!” Maddy replied while trying to close one of her suitcases.

Match was at Maddy’s house, helping her get ready for their vacation. Their destination? The Dream World!

“ But Maddy-chan, what if there’s someone else who’s after the Star Pendant?” Match asked, “ May I remind you of Janga, Beelzemon, and Trigoya?”

“ Don’t worry, Kenichi-kun!” Maddy said while dragging her last suitcase to the door of her room, “ You killed Janga and Beelzemon, and Lan finished off Trigoya! Besides, Klonoa said there aren’t any other villains in the Dream World who know where the Star Pendant is.”

“ In the Digimon Anime, they said that Digimon can’t be killed, only reconfigured,” Match replied while following Maddy to the front of her house, “ So we still have Beelzemon to worry about.”

Maddy rolled her eyes and said, “ Even so, if we see Beelzemon again, he’ll only be a newborn In-Training level Digimon!”

“ True, but...”

“ But nothing! I wanna take a vacation in the Dream World, and that’s final!”

“ But Yahoot doesn’t even know we’re going on vacation!”

“ So? If he tries to fire us, I’ll just threaten to turn him into a newt with this!” Maddy pulled out the Star Pendant from her back pocket when she reached the front door of her house.

“ I still have a bad feeling about this...”

Maddy hugged Match and replied, “ Don’t worry! Everything will be fine!”

Sighing, Match said, “ As soon as we get into the Dream World, everyone will start thinking we’re married.”

“ That’d be nice, wouldn’t it? Mr. And Mrs. Match!” Then Maddy giggled madly.

“ You STILL haven’t told her, have you?” TorchMan cut in, “ Geez, how many secrets are you gonna hide from your own girlfriend?”

“ Shut up!” Match growled. Then he noticed Maddy was staring at him.

“ Tell me what?” she asked.

“ Um, that ‘Match’ isn’t really my last name?” Match replied nervously.

“ Really? Then what IS your last name??”

“ Eh..... It’s ‘Hino’.”

“ Hino? That does NOT sound like the last name of a Netopian!”

“ Look, can we just go to the Dream World already?”

“ Oh, sure!” With the Star Pendant, she opened up a small portal where the door to the outside was. “ Let’s go!” she said as she dragged her two suitcases into the portal. Match sighed, picked up his suitcases, and walked into the portal as well.

“ So they’ve gone into the Dream World?” a voice rasped softly.

“ Yup,” said another tougher sounding voice, “ and now we’re gonna get our revenge! Especially against that redhead!”

“ Better not get all perverted when we get the Diva again.” the first voice replied, chuckling.

“ SHUT UP!” said the second voice. The first voice gulped nervously in reply.

Haly K’s Comment: Remember, this chapter is only to start off the story, so please forgive me if this chapter was short and sucked. *sigh* I need to think of better beginnings for Fan Fics. -_-;

I really want to improve my writing skills, so I can maybe be as good as some of the other writers here, like Neko, Plantman, AMZ, etc. :puku:

~CHAPTER 2~

--Breezegale, Phantomile--

Match and Maddy were walking through a peaceful village that sat on a lonely, grass plain. Dirt roads wound through the village of Breezegale, which also had several huts, windmills, and crop fields scattered about. Several half-animal, half-human children ran about, playing. Somewhere off, one of the villagers was playing a cheerful song on a flute.

“ Eh, Maddy,” Match whispered to Maddy while tapping on her shoulder, “ where the heck are we?”

“ This is Breezegale, the Village of Wind,” Maddy replied, “ My mother was born here, and so was Klonoa.”

A small breeze blew. Maddy smiled and said, “ This place is so peaceful! I love it already!”

Match looked around. As some villagers passed by them, they stopped and stared for a moment, then went on their way. A couple of children that passed by even snickered, but said nothing. “ Maddy, everyone’s staring at us,” he said, “ Klonoa said there were humans in the Dream World too, right?”

“ Well duh. Django and Sora are humans, Klonoa and my mom said so themselves!” Maddy replied while rolling her eyes.

“ Then why the heck is everyone staring at us?!”

Maddy shrugged, “ Dunno. Maybe not many ‘Dream Humans’ come through here.”

“ I don’t like this one bit...” WackoMan said from his PET.

“ Y’know, you and TorchMan can come out from your PETs.” Maddy said.

“ I think that would make this situation worse,” WackoMan replied. TorchMan nodded in agreement.

Suddenly, a soccer ball flew out of a nearby field, and nearly hit Maddy and Match. “ HEY!!” Match said in an angry tone, “ Who’s the punk who did that?!”

“ Sorry ‘bout that!” said a voice from the field. A cat child came running towards them. He had tan colored fur, bright green eyes, and wore a red shirt with blue shorts and black soccer shoes. As he bent to pick up the soccer ball, he stopped and stared at the two humans. “ Hey,” the cat said, “ are you two from Traverse Town or something’?”

“ Oh no, sweetie,” Maddy said in a friendly tone, “ We’re from the Human World.”

“ WOW!!” the cat replied in surprise, “ Really?! S-so you’re the new Diva of the Star Pendant, aren’t you!?”

“ Yup!” Maddy replied.

“ Ah, so are you two on vacation?” both humans nodded, “ Cool! You two outta stop by Lephise’s palace. It’s on a hill down this road,” he pointed down the road they were on, “ Maybe your mom can help ya find some places to visit.”

“ Thanks!” Maddy replied. Then she grabbed Match by the wrist and said, “ Let’s go, Kenichi-kun!”

“ Hope you have a nice time here!” the cat child called after them, waving a bit before returning to the field. A white dog child in a referee’s outfit greeted the cat with a glare.

“ What took you so long?” the dog asked suspiciously.

“ Sorry ref’,” the cat replied, “ but you see those two humans there?” he pointed at Maddy and Match, “ The woman is the new Diva Maddy, and I guess that guy with her is Mr. Match, her boyfriend.”

“ The Diva’s here?!” squawked a pink parrot child, “ Do you think we should tell Balue so they can find Lephise’s palace??”

“ Naw, I told them where it is,” replied the cat, “ but maybe we SHOULD tell him, just in case.”

“ I’ll go tell ‘im!” said a lizard child. He crossed the field and disappeared behind a hut.

On top of a cliff that loomed over Breezegale, a figure looked down, as if searching for someone. He had piercing red eyes, with a third eye on his forehead. The top half of his face was covered be a purple mask which also covered part of his head, making his spikey blonde hair go back. He wore a red bandana which was tied to he left arm, a black jacket, shirt, gloves, pants, and boots. Three steel spikes were on each of his boots, his hands were actually claws. He also had raven-like wings coming out of his back, and a metallic tail. The odd thing was that there were two white bandages on his chest, which formed an ‘X’. He smirked as he saw Maddy and Match coming down the road.

“ Finally!” the figure said, “ It’s about time! My wings were starting to cramp!”

“ They’ll probably beat us like the last time, Beelzemon,” a voice rasped behind him.

Beelzemon, the figure who was watching Breezegale, turned around to his companion. “ Ya don’t know what ya can’t do till ya try, right Janga?” he replied.

Janga was a very tall half-cat half-human creature. He had purple fur, and two eyes; one yellow and the other, which was blind, blue. He wore a blue cap that had a strange star-like symbol on it, a scarf that alternated between red and purple stripes, a long dark purple coat that went passed his knees, and dark brown boots. He had magenta claws that looked quite dangerous, and had the same white bandages on his chest like Beelzemon’s.

“ True,” Janga replied, “ but I think the redhead will try to ‘delete’ us the same ways as the last time.” He pointed at the bandages on his chest, “ It hurt bad enough the first time, and I don’t wanna wash blood out of my coat and fur again”

“ Don’t worry! We’ll get ‘em for sure this time!” Beelzemon replied in an overconfident tone.

“ Bah, if this fails, then I’m taking my old job with Garlen back,” Janga mumbled.

“ We’ll win this time. I’m sure of it!” Beelzemon said with a smirk.

Haly K’s Comment: The return of the two minions of my last story! How did they come back? I’ll explain a bit later. ^^;

Maddy and Match, at this point, were dragging their suitcases to the far off Star Palace.( Lephise’s palace) They were both tired, and Maddy was on the verge of collapsing.

“ How... Much..... Longer?!” Maddy cried, “ I wanna go to beeeeeed!!”

“ A wee bit more, Maddy-chan,” Match replied. He could see a bluish-green palace ahead, and he hoped that was Lephise’s palace.

Maddy turned to glare at Match, “ You said that 30 minutes ago!!”

“ Oi, what else am I suppose to say?! We ARE get there a bit closer every time we take a step.”

“ Tis only a wee bit, laddie,” Maddy said while imitating Match’s accent with a smirk.

“ At least we’re not wasting our time a the mall buying make-up,” Match replied while sticking his tongue out at Maddy.

“ Why I outta-”

“ Seriously though, you’d look a LOT cuter if you didn’t wear any make-up.”

Maddy blushed, “ Really...?”

Match smiled softly, “ Of course! I mean, isn’t it obvious?”

Maddy was about to reply when someone behind yelled, “ Hey! You two! Wait up!!”

Both humans turned to see one of the villagers running towards them. He was fat, had light brown fur and long ears similar to those of Klonoa.. He wore a white shirt and gloves, a pale yellow cap, brown shorts, and dark brown shoes. The villager was followed by 2 Tauroses,( The bull Pokemon) and a Pegasusmon ( The armored digivolved form of Patamon, who looks like a tanish-orange horse with a long white mane, wings, and tail, golden hooves, mask, and armor on its chest.

“ You two!!” the villager called out again, “ Is one of you the new Diva?!”

“ Um, I am,” Maddy said as the villager skidded to a stop in front of her.

“ Ah, yes, I could tell by the pink hair,” the villager said in between pants, “ All the Divas have unusual hair color, like Lephise’s purple hair for example. Unless that’s just hair dye you have.”

“ No, this is my natural hair color sir,” Maddy replied.

“ Who are you?” Match asked, suspicious of the villager.

“ Oh, where are my manners? I am Balue, the admi-- er, I mean assistant of Lephise.” He then bowed. “ You two shouldn’t walk all the way to the palace like this! That’s why I’m here to help!”

Match replied, “ We’re ok--” but he couldn’t finish because Balue had already taken their luggage and tied them onto the backs of the Tauroses.

Then Balue himself climbed up onto the back of one of the Tauroses and said, “ Well, don’t just stand there! Climb onto the Pegasusmon!” He pointed to the Digimon that had accompanied him.

Match helped Maddy get on Pegasusmon, then he got on himself. “ Um, you don’t mind carrying us to my mom’s palace, do you?” Maddy whispered to Pegasusmon.

“ Not at all!” Pegasusmon replied, “ Trust me, I’ve carried others that were heavier that you two.” Then he started galloping towards the palace, with the Tauroses and Balue following him.

“ They’re heading towards the palace, Beelzemon,” Janga rasped into a walkie-talkie. He was hiding behind a bush that was near where Maddy and Match were a minute ago.

“ Excellent!” Beelzemon replied from the walkie-talkie, “ Follow them, but stay far behind so they don’t notice you. I’ll catch up later.”

Janga turned off his walkie-talkie, and started following the Diva...

Hopefully I'll get Chapter 3 in before I go to Honduras for Chistmas. ( We'll be leaving this Friday, and coming back Christmas Day.)

Excellent. Your writing has improved greatly and you write Madoi and Hinoken fics beautifully. I cannot wait for the next chapter. And as for errors, I beleive the plural for Tauros is Tauros', I'm pretty sure I'm wrong though.

~CHAPTER 3~

Inside the Star Palace, the walls, floors, and pillars seemed to be kaleidoscopic; they changed from one color of the rainbow to the next as the light from the diamond chandeliers that hung above shone upon them. A giant, wine red carpet way laid down onto the center of each hallway. Maddy and Match, with Balue in the lead, walked down the main hallway.

“ This is where my mom lives?! WOW!” Maddy said in amazment as see looked around.

“ Yes, yes! I’ll have you know that I was the one who designed this grand palace. It’s amazing what you can create if you put a little thought into something, eh?” Balue said in a proud tone. Unfortunately for him, the others were ignoring him.

“ There gotta be more servants here than at Yai’s place, right? What do you think?” WackoMan asked TorchMan.

“ Are you kidding?!” TorchMan replied, “ This place is practically TEN TIMES bigger that Yai’s mansion! Maybe even bigger that Yai’s castles put together!”

“ Say, where’s Lephise?” Match asked.

“ I informed her of your arrival, so she’s probably somewhere nearby...” Balue replied.

Suddenly, Lephise ran down the hallway. She was about half Maddy’s height, though when she was in the Human World, she was in a human disguse that made her as tall as her daughter now. She wore a purple cap, with a flowing dress that had purple stripes on the sleeves. Her purplish-pink hair was in two long separate pigtails that were held by golden rings. Her eyes were a bright green, and even though she was old, she looked like a child. She stopped in front of Maddy panting.

“ Maddy! I’m so gald you came to visit,” Lephise gasped, “ I wasn’t expecting you to visit, but I’m still gald you did.” She then smiled.

“ Bleh, the Diva gets all the attetion, but the guy who saved her gets nothing,” Match grumbled, “ I’m probably gonna sleep in the dungeons or something...”

“ Nonsense, Kenichi-kun!” Maddy said while hugging him, “ You’ll get a nice comfy bed, right Mom?”

“ Of course! I want to treat my future son-in-law with respect. After all, you did save my daughter,” Lephise replied.

Match blushed and said, “ Aw, anyone could’ve saved Maddy from Janga and Beelz-- Wait, son-in-law?!” He then looked down at Maddy.

“ Er, um, would one of you show us to our room now?” Maddy said nervously while looking at Lephise and Balue.

“ Certainly! Balue, lead them to one of the guest rooms, please,” Lephise said.

“ Yes ma’am!” Balue said, and led Maddy and Match down the hallway.

“ Maddy...” Match whispered while he followed Balue.

“ Let’s talk about it later!” Maddy whispered back harshly.

Outside two Hyrulian guards were standing in front of the entryway to the palace, watching for intruders. Suddenly, leaping from behind a bush, Janga dashed towards the two guards and knocked them both out at the same time with the neck pressure point maneuver. He then took out his walkie-talkie and spoke into it, “ PoisonCat to BlackHawk. The watchdogs are down. You are clear for landing.”

Beelzemon swooped down from the sky, landing on his feet. “ So,” he said, “ should we just go in?”

“ If the other guards see these two like this, they’ll know for sure that there’s an intruder,” Janga replied, “ I say we stay in the main courtyard till morning, and then get our revenge.”

“ Good idea!” Beelzemon replied. He then followed Janga inside.

“ Wheee! This bed is so springy!” Maddy said as she bounced on her bed.

Their room had 2 separate beds on each side, one near the window, and the other near the door on the opposite side of the room. There was also a small dresser with a mirror between the two beds, where WackoMan and TorchMan were still inside their PETs, and a closet opposite of the mirror. Maddy was on the bed near the window, and Match was on the one opposite.

“ Maddy, I think you’re gonna break that,” Match said in a worried tone.

“ Nonsense!” Maddy replied, still bouncing, “ This thing’s strong; it won’t break.”

“ You act like a little kid too much, you know that?”

Maddy stopped bouncing to smile at Match, “ Well, growing old is mandatory, but growing up is optional!”

“ What the heck is that suppose to mean?!”

“ It means just because you’re old, doesn’t mean you can’t be young at heart, right?”

“ Huh, you have a good point there,” Match said as he walked over to Maddy’s bed. He sat next to her, “ Er, Maddy, about what happened in the hallway...”

“ C’mon, you know my mom was just kidding around. I mean, EVERYONE knows it’s still a bit too early to get married.”

“ Then why were you acting so nervous in the hallway?”

Maddy blushed, “ Er, well, that is, I.....”

“ Never mind.” Match said as he put an arm around Maddy’s shoulders, “ You don’t have to tell me if you don’t want to, ok?”

“ Um, ok, but just so you know, it’s not that I don’t love you, ok?”

Match blushed, “ Eh, alright then.”

“ Bwee!” WackoMan said quietly from his PET so only TorchMan could hear, “ I sense a lovey-dovey moment coming on!” He pulled out a bowl of cyber popcorn. TorchMan rolled his eyes.

Turns out, the navi was right; Maddy and Match had closed their eyes, and their lips were getting a bit closer to each other each second.....

But then..... BAM!

A voice from the doorway yelled, “ Hey you two! Dinner’s rea-- Oh, did I interrupt something?” Then it giggled madly.

Maddy and Match then opened their eyes and turned to the door. There an odd sight greeted them; a strange, floating, cat-like creature float in the doorway which it had so rudely opened. It had no legs, but a crooked tail that alternated between black and white stripes underneath it. The left half of its body was black, while the other half was white. Its left eye was closed, and the other yellow one was open. With no arms, its paws floated on the sides of its body. The left paw was black, and the other white, but both had three, long, needle-like claws. Its tails also had a light green ring floating around it.

“ Tee hee! You two make such a good couple, you know that?” the cat thing said again. It giggled again, but stopped when it notice Maddy, Match, and WackoMan were giving it the Evil Eye.

Haly K’s Comment: Evil Eye = A glare that says “ I’m gonna get you for that.” >.>;;

“ You spoiled a lovey-dovey moment!!” WackoMan screeched as he tried to throw the cyber popcorn at the cat thing, but forgot he was still inside his PET, so it harmlessly bounced off the screen and back to WackoMan.

“ Jeez, I was just telling’ ya that dinner was ready. How was I suppose to know the humans were about to make out?” the cat creature replied while rolling its eyes, “ Anyways, my name’s Tat! Please follow me to the dinning room.”

Maddy and Match did so, but then were still mad at Tat for coming into their room without even a knock on the door.

~CHAPTER 4~

Dinner had just ended, and Maddy and Match were walking back to their room.

“ Bweee, that dinner was good,” Maddy said sleeply.

“ Why are you leaning on me and walking at the same time?” Match asked in an annoyed tone.

Maddy yawned and replied, “ I’m tried. Do you wanna carry me?”

“ No, since it looks like you can still walk,” Match said with a smirk.

“ Wait! Diva!! Mr. Match!!” someone in a high-pitched voice called from behind. Maddy and Match didn’t need to turn around, because the one calling them, Tat, “ran” around them and stopped in front of them.

“ What do YOU want?” Maddy asked. She was still mad at Tat for what happened earlier.

Tat panted, and said, “ Miss Lephise wants me ta tell ya something she forgot to tell ya at dinner.”

“ And what would that be?” Match said, also still angry at Tat.

The cat caught her breath, and said, “ About the Sun and Moon Pendants, and the three Tags.”

“ What?! I thought the Star Pendant was the only one!” Maddy exclaimed, “ Like Tigger!”

“ Maddy, that was a bad joke,” Match whispered.

“ AHEM!!” Tat said rudely, waving her arms ( Er, paws, since she don’t have arms.) to get attention, “ Let me explain!!

“ You see, before the beginning of time, there was a great void called the Nykai, which is the Ancient word for ‘nothing’. Two great spirits, the Spirit of Light Quara, and the Spirit of Darkness Ruai, created to Three World from the Nykai.

“ When there were done, somehow three new spirits were created; the Sun Dragon of Power, the Moon Griffon of Wisdom, and the Star Phoniex of Courage. These spirits wanted to help protect the new worlds, so Quara and Ruai turned them into magical pendants.

“ Even though the new pendants, which are the Sun, Moon, and Star Pendants, had magical powers, they couldn’t really protect themselves well. So Quara and Ruai also made three tags for each pendant to help protect it; the Sun, Moon, and Star Tags.

“ The pendants, along with the tags, were given to three Divas that lived in the Dream World. Over time, though, the Sun and Moon Pendants, along with their tags and Divas, were somehow lost, so only the Star Pendant was left. Unfortunately, around the time when Miss Lephise was 3 years old, thieves came and stole the Star Tag. The Heroes went after them, but when they caught up with the theives in the Cyber World, they found out that they had lost the Star Tag.

“ Now the Star Pendant was weak, and a few years after, the Dark Spirit of Phantomile, Ghadius, kidnapped Miss Lephise to try to use the Star Pendant’s power to cover the Dream World in nightmares. That’s the point where it goes into the Klonoa: Door to Phantomile storyline, where of course Miss Lephise was saved by Klonoa and Ghadius was defeated. That‘s it.”

“ Why do we need to know this?” Maddy asked sleeply.

“ Well, we know that the Star Tag was lost in the Cyber World, and that it IS possible that the Sun and Moon Pendants and Tags might be in either the Human or Cyber World, so when you go back there, we want you to keep a look out for them. Ok?”

“ Eh, whatever,” Maddy replied.

“ Oh, and Miss Lephise wanted me to give you a warning, too.”

“ What kind of waring?” Match asked.

“ This goes into another history lesson about the Dream World,” Tat replied.

“ You see, when the first villains started appearing in the Dream World, since some were still alive after they were defeated, Ruai worried that they would try to take over the Dream World in between the adventures of the Heroes, or ‘games’ as they are called in the Human World.

“ So Ruai creat a place called the Dark Caverns. It’s a place where, after they are defeated, the villains get sent to in between games. Since there always has to be a balance between light and dark, the villains get out sometimes, thus starting a new game. Though some villains who stay inside the Dark Cavern will stay there forever, thus ending a game seires. And other times, new villains with appear in the Dream World outside of the Dark Caverns, but they’ll end up being put into the Dark Caverns in the end.

“But any minions of that particular villain that want to be good are let free; any others are either let loose into places like Death Mountain, where they can’t do much harm, if they’re weak, or locked up in the Dark Cavern with their master.”

“ So that means...” Maddy said.

“... That Janga is still alive!” Match finished for her.

“ That’s right!” Tat said, “ Also, since Digimon can only be reconfigured, Beelzemon is also still alive. So stay on you toes!”

“ Ok!” Maddy said as she watched Tat leave.

“ By the way, Maddy-chan?” Match asked.

“ Yes, Kenichi-kun?”

“ Lovey-dovey?” WackoMan asked.

“ I was wondering, where else in the Dream World are we going to before we go home?” Match asked.

“ Aw, no lovey-dovey!” WackoMan said, disappointed. Then TorchMan threw a cyber brick at the clown-like Navi.

“ I was wonder when you’d ask,” Maddy replied, “ After this, we’ll go to Death Mountain in Hyrule, then Yoshi Island, then Kashabuku City in the Digital World, which is the planet for the Digimon series, and then we’ll stop in Sol City before we head home.”

“ Alright then,” Match replied, and lead Maddy back to their room.

“ Wait..... How long do you think this will take?” WackoMan asked.

“ Maybe around 10 or so chapters,” TorchMan replied.

“ Wha? Chapters?!”

“ Er, I mean about a week or so! Yeah!”

WackoMan avoded TorchMan for the rest of the evening.

“ Guh! I hink I ave a old!” Beelzemon said. Somehow he had managed to catch a cold while trying to find a spot to sleep on in a bush in the main courtyard of the Star Palace.

“ A) Make sure the guards don’t hear you sneeze!” Janga whispered back harshly, “ and B) Cover your mouth when you sneeze! I don’t want to catch your cold!!”

“ Ine, ine,” Beelzemon replied, “ I’ll go seep in the ush ove ther, hen,” he crawled to a nearby bush, then yelled out, “ OW! Dis is a ose ush!!”

“ Huh? Who’s that?!” a guard from nearby cried, “ There are intruders in the main courtyard! I repeat, intruders in the main courtyard!!”

“ Beelzemon, you idiot!” Janga screeched, “ How could you not tell that that’s a rose bush?!”

“ Orry,” Beelzemon said.

Maddy had just walked into the room. She was done brushing her teeth, and was in a nightgown. WackoMan and TorchMan were asleep in their PETs, and so was Match in his bed.

Before she went to bed, she walked over to Match’s bed, kissed him softly on his cheek, and whispered, “ Goodnight, Kenichi-kun.”

Match yawned and replied, while still keeping his eyes closed, “ Goodnight, Maddy-chan.”

Maddy blushed, and walked over to her own bed to sleep, but then.....

“ Diva...” a voice whispered, “ I wish to cause no harm to you. I only ask of your help. Please help me... Diva, please.....”

Maddy turned around quickly, but there was no one there. She shrugged, and went to bed.

Eh heh, chapter 5 is here. Wow, I write faster than I thought. :O

~CHAPTER 5~

Both Beelzemon and Janga were hanging upside down by ropes in one of the cells of the gray brick walled dungeons of the Star Palace. A Dorumon and a Guilmon were put in charge of making sure they didn’t escape. The Dorumon looked like a dinosaur, except it had purple fur. He also had very small, bat-like wings on his back, black tipped, fox-like ears, and white fur on his paws, tip of his fox-like tail, and his snout. There was a strange, red, triangle shaped crystal on his forehead. The Guilmon was a bit bigger than Dorumon, who was about the size of a dog. The Guilmon looked like a small dinosaur, and was red, except for his white underbelly, and had long white claws and black marking all over his body. He had ‘ears’ on his head that looked like bat wings, and had what looked like a hazard sign on his chest. Janga was trying to free himself, which only keep making him bump into Beelzemon, who was hanging next to him.

“ I DEMAND YOU TO LET ME GO!!” Janga screeched, “ OR I WILL POISON YOU WITH MY POISON CLAWS!!!!!” The two Digimon were ignoring him by playing a game of checkers.

Dorumon, keeping its green eyes on the game board, said, “ It’s your turn, Guilli.”

“ Ok, Dorui,” replied Guilli, the Guilmon. He pick up one of his pieces, and moved it so he captured three of Dorui’s pieces, “ Your turn now.”

Dorui moved one of his pieces so that it got all the way to the other side of the board while capturing two of Guilli‘s pieces. “ King me!” he cried. Guilli looked at the board with disappointment in his hazel eyes as he placed one of Dorui’s pieces onto the one that had made it to his side of the board.

“ HEY! ARE YOU TWO NEWBS LISTENING TO ME OR NOT?!” Janga screeched.

“ Sn’t it obious hat they’re ignoring ou?” Beelzemon asked sleeply. He still had a cold.

“ GAH! I DON’T CARE!! LET ME GOOOO!!!” Janga screeched even louder.

“ Ou otta o to the bathroom?”

“ No, not the bathroom, you idiot! Outta this dungeon, so I can get my hands on that stupid Diva!!”

“ Ey! Da Iva’s stil ine!”

Janga stopped screeching to stare at Beelzemon, “ The Diva hates you, but you still love her?”

Beelzemon smiled, “ ‘O ourse! She oves meh, eep ‘nside!”

Janga rolled his eyes, “ You’re the biggest idiot in the Dream World, you know that?”

“ EY! ATCH YER OUTH, ITTY!!” Beelzemon bumped into Janga, causing the cat to swing.

“ Why I outta...!!!” Then Janga bumped Beelzemon back, and they repeatly bumped each other as Dorui and Guilli continued to play their game.

Maddy was having a bit of a nightmare while she slept. Everything was black, but she could only she herself in a mirror, and the voice from early that night was talking to her...

“ Diva, please help me.....” the voice said.

“ But I don’t know who you are!” Maddy replied.

“ I am someone who will help you in return...” the voice replied.

“ But... How can I trust you?” Maddy asked.

“ You can trust me,” the voice replied, “ In fact, you must trust me! You WILL trust me!! YOU WILL HELP ME!!!”

Suddenly, a giant, black Heartless leapt out of the mirror. It was huge, but the only things visible on it were its glowing yellow eyes and the Broken Heart symbol on its chest that all Heartless have. It was about to attack Maddy.....

Maddy woke up screaming, and with Match, in his usual clothes, holding her by her shoulders.

“ Maddy!” Match cried, “ Are you alright?! I heard you screaming, and when I ran in here...”

“ What?” Maddy replied fully awake, “ Was someone else in here?!”

“ Well,” Match began, “ When I came in here, there was some in a cloak near your bed, but he or she was only here for about a second...”

“ Is Maddy alright?! Is Maddy alright?!?” WackoMan was screaming from his PET. TorchMan had to throw a cyber pillow at him to make him stop.

“ You two woke me up!!” TorchMan yelled, “ I was having a nice dream too!”

“ What kind of dream?” Wackoman replied while trying to get cyber feathers out of his hair.

“ One where I was about to beat MegaMan for once!!”

“ Typical. That’s only something that could happen in a dream!” Then WackoMan laughed until TorchMan threw another cyber pillow at him.

“ Maddy... You’re ok now, right?” Match whispered as WackoMan and TorchMan started yelling at each other.

“ Yeah..... I’m ok now...” Maddy replied quietly, “ But I think someone needs my help...”

“ Who?” Match said.

“ I’m not sure..... Someone in my dream said they needed my help, but maybe that’s just me...”

Match kissed her softly and said,“ That’s ok. You can tell your mom about it later, ok?”

“ Ok,” Maddy replied. She watched Match leave the room so she could get dressed. She got up, and went into the closet to change.

A few minutes afterward, Beelzemon was also having a strange dream. He was fast asleep in the dungeon, tired after bumping into Janga so much.

" Beelzemon,”a voice whispered, “ I need the Diva’s help..... Bring her to me.....”

“ But who are you?” Beelzemon replied, “ And where are you?”

“ Who I am is not important,” the voice said, “ I will allow you to come to me when you get the Diva. Understand?”

Beelzemon nodded, stilling having doubt about this stranger.

“ Someone talked to you in your dream?” Lephise asked in a worried tone.

“ Yes,” Maddy replied, “ but it never told me who it was.”

Maddy and Match were talking to Lephise about what happened during the night.

“ Also, when I came in to check on her, someone in a cloak was standing near her bed, but only for a second,” Match added.

“ Hmm,” Lephise said, “ Someone in a cloak?” she then pulled out a small, triangular device and pressed a button on it. It created a small hologram of someone in a black cloak that had some zippers here and there on it. “ Did he or she look like this?”

“ Yeah, exactly like that!” Match replied.

“ So that means,” Lephise said, “ Whoever wants Maddy’s help is a Nobody.”

“ A Nobody?” Maddy asked.

Lephise explained, “ You see, when a Heartless steals the heart of another, no only does that person become a Heartless, but the body that is left behind turns into a Nobody. Nobodies are commonly seen wearing cloaks such as these. Also, they can disappear and reapear in an instant. But, seeing as this Nobody wants Maddy’s help for some reason, it must be very weak for some reason.”

“ I guess we have nothing to worry about, right Maddy-chan?” Match said. Maddy nodded in agreement.

“ But just in case, I’ll send one of my apprentices with you.” Lephise said.

“ Er, apprentices?” Maddy asked, not liking the idea.

“ Yes, besides being a Diva, I am also a master of magic, and gives lessons to some of the children here,” Lephise replied.

“ Ok, as long as they’re good at magic!” Maddy said nervously.

“ And as long as they know their way around the Dream World,” Match added, “ I don’t think Maddy knows where exactly our next vacations spots are.”

“ Eh heh, he has a good point there,” Maddy said.

“ I know exactly who to send with you then,” Lephise said with a smile, “ Her name is Haly, she’s one of my best students, and she’s also Klonoa’s cousin, so she tends to tag along with him when he goes to other parts of the Dream World.”

“ Ok,” Maddy and Match said in unsion.

Haly K’s Comment: Yes, this means my character comes into the plot! ^.-

Beelzemon and Janga had ( somehow) gotten free fo their ropes, knocked out the gurads Dorui and Guilli, and were trying to get out of their cell. ( At least Janga was; Beelzemon was just providing annoyance.)

“ C’on, ar ou don et?!” Beelzemon said. Janga was trying to pick the lock with his claws.

“ Feh! That cold of yours STILL hasn’t gone away, has it?” Janga replied bitterly, “ Anyways, I think I almost have--” then the claw he was picking the lock with broke, “ AHH! MY CLAW!!”

Beelzemon put a hand over Janga’s mouth and whispered, “ Ey! Do ou wan theh othe uards o heer ya?!”

He let go of Janga, and the cat weeped, “ My claw..... Muh-my claaaaw..... My presioussssss!!”

Beelzemon hit Janga on the back of the cat’s head with one of his guns, and replied, “ Hut up, an et meh o it,” he tried to pick the lock with his claws, and it worked, “ C’on, Anga! We got o get the Iva!”

Janga was still weeping over his broken claw, thus Beelzemon had to drag him by his scarf to make him go.

Finally back from vacation, and finally wrote a new chapter! Yayness! ^_^

~CHAPTER 6~

At the foot of Death Mountain, the volcano of Hyrule, was Kakariko Village. There were several houses here and there, with some stairs leading to the higher parts of the village. There was a large windmill opposite of the village entrance, will a small, gray-bricked well near its base. Nearby the well was a pen at the back of the one of the houses filled with Cuccos, the viriaty of chickens that live in Hyrule. Maddy, Match, and there new guide, Haly, were at the village entrance.

Haly looked much like Klonoa, ven though she was only his cousin; she was cat-like but about Lephise’s height. She had black fur, a short, white-tipped tail, long ears that ended in a white, maple-leaf shape, sapphire blue, cat-like eyes, and the lower half her face was white, with three whiskers on each side of her face. She wore a red cap, a red collar over a bandanna of the same color around her neck, yellow gloves, a green t-shirt, tan cargo pants, and red sneakers that had yellow circles on each side of the heels.

Haly K’s Comment: Slight note - Haly was originally Klonoa’s daughter, but I changed it to cousin. Why? I have no idea myself. I guess cousin is better. >.>;

Haly took a couple of steps into the village, turned around to face Maddy and Match, and said happily, “ Well, here we are! Kakariko Village!”

“ Hey, I thought we were going to Death Mountain?” WackoMan said, confused.

“ Aw, c’mon!!” Haly replied in an annoyed tone, “ Ya can’t expect use ta climb the mountain in one day, right?! Besides, it’s already 3:00 in da afternoon!!”

“ She has a good point,” Maddy said.

“ Well, where are we suppose to stay for the night?!” WackoMan asked.

“ Don’t worry!” Haly replied happily, “ I made reservations in an inn here before we left the Star Palace.”

“ Oh,” WackoMan replied, “ Ok, then...”

“ What’s wrong with you?” Maddy asked, “ Do you have a bug or something?”

“ N-no! No bug!!”

“ Ok...”

“ By da way, how long are ya planning on vacationing here in the Dream World?” Haly asked.

“ As long as we like!” Maddy replied while ignoring the glare that Match was giving her.

“ Ah, good!” Haly replied, “ They have a Graveyard Tour here. Wanna go?”

“ There’s a graveyard here?” Match asked.

“ Ov course! And it’s got all sorts of spooks!”

“ Er, ‘spooks’??” WackoMan asked nervously.

“ Yup, ya see ‘spooks’ is a nickname most of the people in the Dream World call undead monsters,” Haly explained.

WackoMan gupled nervously. Haly continued, “ Lesse, the graveyard here has,” she then counted off her fingers, “ Boos, Poes, Boks, Redeads, Gibdos, those oranges ghosts that were in Luigi’s Mansion, Mummy Moos, Gargoyle Heartless ( Mind you, Heartless don’t steal a person’s heart unless someone orders them to, so all the Heartless right now are harmless.), some Bakemon, and those little purple ghost viruses. What er they called? Spookies?”

“ Huh? There are viruses here in the Dream World?” Match asked.

“ Ov course!” Haly replied, “ After all, portals to the Dream World sometimes open up in the Cyber World, and then a virus or two jump in it before it closes up again,” then she looked up at Maddy and Match with puppy dog eyes, “ So can we go on the tour? Pwetty pwease?” she started whimpering to make them give in.

“ Of course we’ll go!” Maddy replied happily, “ You don’t have to beg us to go on something that sounds so exciting!”

“ WAHOO!” Haly cried happily as she punched the air, “ I’ve always wanted ta go on that tour! Wahoo yet again!” she then led Maddy and Match father into the village.

“ By the way, when IS the tour?” Maddy asked as she followed Haly, dragging her suitcase behind her.

“ Oh, I think it starts around midnight or so,” Haly replied.

“ Midnight?!” Maddy and Match cried in unsion.

“ Um, can I stay at the inn while you go on the tour? Please?” WackoMan asked nervously.

“ What, are you scared of the spooks?” TorchMan replied with a smrik.

Haly K’s Comment: Wait, he doesn’t have a mouth. O.o;

“ What?! Of course not!!” WackoMan replied in a brave tone.

Then TorchMan took out a ghost hand puppet and said, “ BOO!”

“ AAH! A GHOST!!” WackoMan screamed, and glomped his Chopper plushy for protection.

“ You’re too easy to scare,” TorchMan replied, while shaking his head in disappointment.

Haly K’s Comment: A friend of mine on the Rockman EXE Online forums ( Username: Wackoman.EXE) is a fan of One Piece ( At least I think he is; I know he has a Chopper avatar right now.o.o ) so that’s where I got the Chopper plushy idea from. ^_^;

Beelzemon and Janga were walking through Hyrule Field. On the way out of the Star Palace, one of the guards managed to break one of Beelzemon’s wings, so they couldn’t fly to Kakariko Village, but at least Beelzemon’s cold was gone. The sun was starting to sink into the horizon over the village as well...

“ Great, the sun is going down!” Janga said, glaring at the sun. Then he remember that it’s bad for your eyes to look directly at the sun, so he tore his gaze from the sun.

“ So?” Beelzemon replied.

Janga glared at the Digimon and screeched, “ So? So?! A bunch of spooks come out of Hyrule Field at night, you nitwit!!”

“ Like what?”

“ Stalchildren, Stalofses, Wolfoses...”

“ Wolfoses aren’t spooks!”

“ So? They’re still hard to beat!”

“ You’re just saying that ‘cause your claw is still broken!”

“ Shut up!”

“ You shut up!!”

“ That was a weak counter-insult and you know it!”

“ At least I don’t look like a one-eyed plushy!”

“ That’s it!! YOU’RE GOIN’ DOWN!!!”

Then Beelzemon and Janga starting fighting. A bit nearby where they were, two small skeletons with glowing red eyes, dinosaur-like skulls, and pinkish colored claws were hiding behind a small hill.

“ Should we really go after them?” one of them said, “ They look like wimps.”

“ C’mon, Stak!” the other replied, glaring at the other, “ Our Scare Rate has gotten low over the years ‘cause everyone now use wagons or horses to get around Hyrule Field!”

“ Maybe we outta call the others, Sata,” replied Stak “ I mean, the other Stalchildren would wanna scare them too, right? Besides, they’d be pretty mad if we scared someone and they didn’t.”

“ Good point!” Sata agreed, “ Go call the others. I think I’ll get a head start.”

“ Alright then,” Stak said. The Stalchild then buried into the ground while Sata leaped over the hill and walked slowly towards Beelzemon and Janga, arms outstretched to make himself look more menacing.

“ Alrighty then!” Haly said, while standing out the inn with Maddy and Match, “ We’ve checked into the inn, taken a small tour around the village, and eaten dinner. Now what?”

TorchMan checked the clock in the PET, “ It’s only 9:00 P.M., unless this place is in a different time zone.”

“ It is,” Haly replied, “ Now, if it were 9:00 in Electopia, then it would be around 11:00 here in Hyrule. So it’s 11:00 P.M.”

“ No wonder it got dark so early!” Maddy exclaimed.

“ We’ve got an hour before the tour starts. What now?” Match said.

“ Leave me in the inn, that’s what!!” WackoMan cried from his PET, still holding onto his Chopper plushy.

“ Aw, ya scared?” Haly asked, “ But the tour is so much fuuuun!”

“ NO IT ISN’T!!”

“ Ya DO realize that one of the ghost from the graveyard COULD sneak into the inn, right? After all, it’s happened before.”

WackoMan gulped nervously, “ Really?”

“ Ov course! If it’s possible, then it can happen!”

“ Fine! I’m going then!”

“ But we still have a hour before the tour,” Maddy said, “ so what do we do till then?”

Haly thought for a moment, then said, “ Well, there’s a Shooting Gallery here where ya shoot arrows at targets for prizes. How ‘bout we go there?”

“ Sounds like fun! Let’s go!” Maddy replied happily, while tugging on Match’s arm to make him come.

It was 11:30 by the time Beelzemon and Janga got to Kakariko Village. Their clothes were tattered from all the scratches the Stalchidrens gave them.

“ See..... What I mean?!” Janga said, extremely worn out from fight the Stalchildren, “ Stalchildren attacked us! Just like..... I said!”

“ You said that Stalchildren..... Stalofses..... And Wolfoses would attack us!” Beelzemon corrected, also extremely worn out from the fight, “ Only Stalchidren..... Attacked us!”

“ Nevermind!” Janga replied, “ We need to climb..... Death Mountain!”

“ Why?” Beelzemon asked, “ The Diva would’ve..... stopped here..... before goin’ up there, right?”

“ We’re getting..... A headstart, so it’ll be easier..... To catch her later...... Nitwit!”

“ Oh, ok then.” Then Beelzemon follow Janga towards the road that lead to the dormant volcano.

Hmm, Beelzemon and Janga might not get the Diva if they keep this up. Maybe I should take this into my own hands. Zweegle!

Yes, master?

Go to the graveyard in Kakariko Village and get the Diva while she’s on the tour. I don’t have much hope that the other two will capture her. Understand?

Ah, alone again. At least I keep getting more views, so I know that somone is reading this. ( Or at least checking it out. -_-; )

~CHAPTER 7~

Now, Maddy, Match and Haly were waiting at the entrance to the graveyard to start the tour. There were only a few minutes left till midnight, and Haly was hopping around to pass the time.

“ Bwee! I can’t wait!” Haly said as she hopped around, “ I want the tour to start now, but Dampe the Graveyard Keeper is strict about time for some reason. Though I can’t believe I didn’t win anything at the Shooting Gallery. I normally have good aim! I really wanted that little Calumon plushy!! Oh well. Only about 5 minutes to go!!”

“ She’s hyperactive, isn’t she?” Match whispered to Maddy.

“ Yup,” Maddy replied while holding the three fox plushies that Match had won for her in the Shooting Gallery, “ kinda reminds me of me when I was little.”

“ Really?” Haly asked. Both humans turned to stare at her.

“ What? I’m a cat! Ya have ta expect that I’d have sharp hearing, right?”

“ She has a good point,” TorchMan said.

Suddenly, there was a screech, and several bats flew out of the graveyard. The others that were waiting for the tour to start screamed as the bats flew into them. Some managed to fight them off, while many other ran back to the village screaming.

“ Oi, what’s goin’ on ere?!” Someone from nearby the entrance said.

It was Dampe the Graveyard Keeper, a short, humpbacked, bald head man who wore brown clothes, boots, and carried a shovel in one hand. He was flailing the shovel frantically at the bats.

“ Where di these come from?!” he yelled over the screeching of the bats, “ There ‘re no bats in the graveyard! Ho’s doin’ dis?!”

“ He’s right!” Haly said, while thwacking the bats with a large, skinny, spiked hammer, “ Someone’s probably behind this!”

Haly K’s Comment: Where did Haly’s hammer come from? Well, she uses her magic to compress it down to a small size so she can carry it around with her, and when she takes it out, it return to normal size. Cool, neh? Back to the story now.

“ What do we do?!” Maddy asked.

Match grabbed her arm and replied, “ Go into the graveyard and see what’s causing this, that’s what!”

“ Yeah, let’s go!!” Haly agreed as she took a head start into the graveyard.

The graveyard was surrounded on three sides ( The fourth side being the entrance and Dampe’s shack.) by high walls of rock. Several gravestones were arranged neatly in many rows, with two lone gravestones standing side by side on the far side of the graveyard, opposite of the entrance.

What looked liked a vampire was standing on top of one of the stone walls. He had pale, purple skin, large pointy ears, an equally pointy nose, and yellow hair that looked more like a large horn on the back of his head. He wore a blue coat with white cuffs around his wrists, two yellow buttons down the middle and a white collar, gloves, black pants, shoes, and cape that was red on the inside. His beady red eyes scanned the graveyard, and stopped when he finally saw, Haly, followed by Match and Maddy, running into the graveyard.

The vampire smirked, showing his sharpest teeth, as he rasped, “ It’s showtime.” He then turn into a large purple bat and flew down into the graveyard.

“ Oi, what’s that?” Haly asked aloud as she saw the purple bat swoop down from the rock wall.

“ Probably the one who caused this!” Match replied, as he followed the bat deeper into the graveyard.

“ Hey, wait for me!” Maddy cried as she tried to catch up with the other two.

As Maddy ran through the graveyard, she noticed that most of the ‘spooks’ were hiding behind the gravestones from the bats. As soon as she caught up with Haly and Match, they were already at the center of the graveyard, were there was a large, graveless circle, and the vampire turned back into its original form.

“ It’sss about time you got here,” the vampire hissed, “ I am Zweegle, the vampire of the Empire of Dreamsss.”

“ Zweegle?! But you’re suppose ta be one of the good guys!!” Haly cried.

“ Usssed to be, that isss,” Zweegle replied, “ Now, hand over the Diva; my massster requiresss her help.”

“ Your master wouldn’t happen to be a... Nobody?” Maddy asked timidly.

Zweegle smirked and replied, “ Maybe. Maybe not. I’m certainly not going to tell you. After all, it would ruin the sssurprissse, yesss?”

“ You’re not taking Maddy either way!” Match said as Maddy hid behind him.

“ Yeah!! It’s thwacking time!!” Haly cried as she ran towards Zweegle with her hammer raised. Zweegle simply turned into a bat to dodge, catching Haly off guard and making her fall onto the gravestone that was behind the vampire.

“ Maddy,” Match whispered, “ do you think you could turn the Star Pendant into something that’ll stop Zweegle from flying off like that?”

“ I think so,” Maddy replied. She then took out the Star Pendant, and it turned into a bow and quiver of arrows. She carefully aimed an arrow at Zweegle, and shot it at one of his wings. He flew to the ground and turn back into his original form.

“ Ow, my wing!!” Zweegle cried. His right arm was broken.

“ Hiiiiiya!!” Haly cried as she thwacked Zweegle hard on his head with her hammer. Zweegle fell to the ground unconscious, with Staryus and Tailows flying around his head.

“ Yay! We did it!” Maddy cried happily.

“ Oh really? Looks to me like you’re still in trouble,” a voice echoed out from somewhere.

Suddenly, someone quickly appeared in between Haly and Zweegle. Haly was surprised, and took a few steps back, which ended up in her falling over the same gravestone again.

The someone was a cat-like human with magenta colored fur. She wore clothes that made her look like she came from a desert; one of those hats that you’d see people wear in a desert that covered her eyes, a blue sleeveless shirt, golden bracelets, baggy pants that were a pale yellow color, and pointy tan-colored shoes that looked like they were made of long bandage wraps. Her large bat-like ears twitched slitly every second or so, and she had a large steel schimitar in one hand that was pointed at Haly.

“ Gah,” Haly moaned from behind the gravestone, “ I gotta watch where I ste- Hey, aren’t you Anemon?!”

“ Bingo, kid,” the cat replied, her tail swishing from side to side, “ Zweegle was been given the task to capture the Diva for our master, but apparently he failed. How typical.”

“ Neh, five more minutesss, Granny,” Zweegle mumbled. Anemon kicked him hard in the side to wake him up.

“ Get up, you fool!” Anemon said harshly, “ You failed your mission. Time to go back to the master.”

Zweegle replied slowly, “ But the Di-” but couldn’t finish since Anemon put her foot in his mouth.

“ We do what the master says,” Anemon replied, “ If we fail, we go back.” She then picked up Zweegle by the collar and both of them disappeared.

“ Geez, what’s all this about anyway?” Haly asked as she walked over to Match and Maddy.

“ Well, you see...” Maddy said as she explained what was going on.

Haly K’s Comment: Anemon is NOT a Digimon. She’s another character from the Klonoa series.

After Zweegle and Anemon had left the graveyard, Dampe had announced that the Graveyard Tour was cannceled until further notice. ( Or at least until the spooks in the graveyard were ready to scare people again.) Maddy, Match, and Haly went back to the inn. Maddy was in her room, checking over her plushies.

“ Aw, the bats managed to scratch up this one a bit!” Maddy cried unhappily as she held up a yellow fox plushy with a pink bow around its neck and several small scratches on its ears and tail.

“ At least the other are ok, right?” WackoMan siad from his PET on a nearby table. One of the other fox plushies was a dark blue with a silver bandanna around its neck, and the other was a lavender color with dark green stripes.

“ Yeah, but this one is the first one Match won for me,” Maddy replied.

“ They’re just plushies,” WackoMan pointed out.

Maddy turned to glare at WackoMan, “ Oh really? Then if I took your Chopper plushy, you wouldn’t care since it’s ‘just a plushy’, right?!”

“ What?! No!! You wouldn’t do that..... Would you?!?”

“ See? They’re not just plushies now, right?” She then laughed.

“ Whatever,” WackoMan grumbled, “ but still, there’s still that Nobody we need to worry about.”

Maddy stopped laughing and looked down, a frightened expression on her face, “ Why did you have to bring that up...?”

“ Um, I-I didn’t mean to!! But don’t worry! Me, TorchMan, Haly, and Mr. Match are here to protect you! Especially Mr. Match, since he loves you, right?!”

Maddy hugged the fox plushy she was holding tightly, “ Of course... He’d do anything to protect me.....”

“ Um, are you going to be alright?”

“ Yeah, I’ll be fine...”

Wow, three chapters in a row without any replies. I think this is the first time that this has happened to me. :O

~CHAPTER 8~

Beelzemon and Janga were sitting cross-legged and side by side on the main path from Kakariko Village to Death Mountain. Both of them were looking in the direction of the small village, waiting for the Diva to come.

“ Hey, Janga?” Beelzemon whispered, “ How much longer are we going to be here? My legs and wings are starting to cramp!”

“ Probably a few more hours,” Janga replied, “ They probably went on that Graveyard tour last night, so they’re proabaly sleeping in.”

Beelzemon moaned in reply. A few minutes later, they heard a rolling sound from behind them. They looked behind themselves to see what look like a boulder their size rolling down the path. Then, the boulder stopped about 10 feet away from them. Turns out, the boulder was some kind of monster. It had short, stubby legs that couldn’t support the monster, a large nose, eyes, and mouth.

“ Guraw!” the monster barked.

“ What the feck is THAT?” Beelzemon asked.

“ I forgot the names of these creatures, but I‘ve seen them before,” Janga replied “ I thought they only lived in Termina...”

Beelzemon sniffed the air, “ Whatever it is, it smell bad!”

“ Guraw! Guraw!” the monster barked again. Beelzemon and Janga turned to each other.

“ Maybe if we ignore it, it’ll leave use alone?” Beelzemon said.

“ Probably,” Janga replied. Then both of them turned away from the monster, and continued staring down the path to Kakariko Village.

“ GURAAAW!!” the monster roared. Then it started rolling towards Beelzemon and Janga again, this time at full speed. It flattened them both, and stopped rolling a few feet ahead of them, stopped, and turned around.

“ Guraw! Guraw guraw!” It said in a sort of laughing way, while somehow managing to hop in place.

“ That’s it!!” Beelzemon yelled as he pulled out one of his guns.

“ No!! Don’t shot it!!” Janga cried, “ I know that these kinds of monsters are made out of gu--”

The cat was too late. Beelzemon had fired at the monster, causing a small explosion which sent them both flying to the other side of Death Moutain.

“ What was that?” Maddy asked. She heard an explosion from up ahead on the trail.

“ Ah, some newbie adventurers must’ve run into a Nejiron.” Haly replied, whiel listening closely with her ears.

“ A Neh-what?” WackoMan asked.

“ A Nejiron,” Haly corrected, “ They’re a kinda ov monster that usually lives in Ikana Canyon, but over the years some ov ‘em managed to get to some nearby mountain areas, like here. From some odd reason, they’re made ov something’ that’s similar to gunpowder, so ya can’t attack ‘em with a fire attack,” then she smirked, “ unless you’re either new to adventuring here, or ya like ta blow yourself up!”

“ I don’t see the humor in that,” Match gummbled. He was dragging most of the bags, and sat down to rest with his back facing Maddy and Haly.

“ What’s wrong, Kenichi-kun?” Maddy asked.

Match turned around to say something, but blushed and turned back around, “ Nothing,” he mumbled.

“ What the heck is wrong with you?!” Maddy asked in an angry tone, “ Every time you look at me, you look away! If my outfit today is horrible, then just say so!!”

Maddy was wearing a teal vest over a pale pink t-shirt. She also had a red bandanna around her neck, teal hiking shorts, and hiking boots. Match didn’t have his jacket on, and also had a red bandanna around his neck.

“ Er, it’s not that, it’s just...” Match said.

“ C’mon, people!!” yelled Haly, “ We got get to either Goron City or Death Cavern before sundown!”

“ You mean sunset,” WackoMan corrected.

“ It’s da same thing, right?!” Haly replied rudely.

Up ahead, on a ledge that was overlooking the trail, Anemon and Zweegle we waiting for the Diva.

“ Are you sssure they’re gonna go to Goron City?” Zweegle asked, “ They could go to Death Cavern inssstead.”

“ They’ll go to Goron City. I’m sure of it,” Anemon replied with no emotion.

“ But if they DO go to Death Cavern, King Volvagia might recognized Match and they’ll find out that he’sss--”

“ Enough! They’ll go to Goron City. After all, with a name like Death Cavern, they’ll avoid that place like the plauge.”

“ I hope ssso. Remember what Ane-”

Anemon hit Zweegle in the back of the head with the hilt of her scimitar, “ Do not speak the master’s name!!”

“ Sssorry...”

“ Alrighty, then,” Haly said as she stood at a fork in the road. The left path lead to some place near the top of the mountain, and the other looked like it lead to the other side of it, “ Which way do we go?”

“ Which path leads where?” Maddy asked.

Haly though for a moment, then replied, “ Well, the one on the right leads ta Goron City, while the one on the left leads ta Death Cavern.”

“ D-Death Cavern?” WackoMan asked nervously.

“ Oh, it’s a place where the more civilized Fire types live,” Haly replied again, “ Ya see, there are three ‘kinds’ ov monsters: the kind that are like a race, the kind that can’t talk well and are used for most kinds ov work, and the kind that are still loyal to their masters and run around like beasts in the wild parts of the Dream World. Also, King Volvagia lives there.”

“ ‘King’ Volvagia? Isn’t he a boss from the Zelda series?” TorchMan asked.

“ He used ta be. After Ganondork was beaten by Link in Ocarina of Time and sent back to the Dark Caverns, Volvagia quit work for him. Eventually he became the King of Fire.

“ There are ten elements in the Dream World: Fire, Water, Wood, Thunder, Ice, Wind, Earth, Steel, Darkness, and Light. There’s either a king or queen asinged to each element to make sure that the monsters, Pokemon, and such are kept in line. Even bosses like Volvagia can end up being the king or queen of an element.”

“ Ok, then...” TorchMan replied.

“ Which way should we go then?” WackoMan asked.

“ Let’s go to Death Cavern!” Maddy replied happily.

“ What?! Have you even considered the fact that Volvagia might not be happy to see us?!” Match said.

“ Live a little, will ya?” Maddy whispered. Then she turned to Haly, “ Besides, you said that these bandannas we’re wearing will protect use from the heat inside the volcano, right?”

Haly nodded, “ Yup. I gave ‘em to ya just in case you wanted to go to Death Cavern.”

“ In that case, let’s go!!” Maddy helped Match with the luggage so they’d get there faster.

“ Dammit!” Anemon cursed softly to herself.

“ I had a feeling they’d go to the cavern inssstead of Goron City,” Zweegle said.

“ We didn’t bring any Red Cloth with us, so we can‘t follow them into the volcano,” Anemon whispered to herself, ignoring Zweegle, “ Those bandannas they’re wearing must be made out of Red Cloth...”

“ What do we do now?” Zweelge asked louder enough to get Anemon’s attention.

“ We go back for now. We’ll get them when then come out.”

Inside the volcano it would’ve be hot if you weren’t wearing something made out of Red Cloth. Fortunately, for Maddy and the others, it was a bit cool inside Death Mountain. Lava was flowing at the bottom, and there were several ledges on the sides that were connected by small rope, and sometimes brick, bridges. There was what look liked a hole with a ladder in it leading down near the bottom of the volcano.

“ Why do they call this Death Mountain if it’s a volcano?” WackoMan asked.

“ Dunno,” Haly replied, “ Maybe it’s cause ‘Death Volcano’ wouldn’t attract too many tourist.”

“ Sounds reasonable,” TorchMan said.

“ Hey, who are you guys?” a voice from above asked.

Everyone looked up and saw a Fire Fishy floating above them.

Haly K’s Comment: ‘Fire Fishy’ is my own personaly nickname that I gave to the Fishy 2 viruses. You know, the ones that you can get the Burner battlechip from?

“ A virus that can talk?!” Wackoman exclaimed.

“ Remember those ‘kinds’ of monsters I mentioned earlier?” Haly replied, “ Viruses that come to the Dream World from the Cyber World are included.”

“ Er, I am the Diva of the Star Pendant,” Maddy said, “ and my boyfriend and I are on vacation in the Dream World. We want to explore Death Mountain a bit.”

“ Ah, the Diva!” the Fire Fishy replied, “ King Volvagia was hopeing that you’d stop by and visit sometime when he heard from your mother you were coming here. Follow me!” The virus then lead them down some ledges and bridges down to the hole near the bottom.

“ Does this lead to King Volvagia?” Maddy asked.

“ It leads to the actual Death Cavern, where the other Fire types live,” the virus replied, “ King Volvagia lives in the Fire Temple down there. C’mon!” it then flew down into the hole. The others followed by climbing down the ladder.

~CHAPTER 9~

The inside of the actual Death Cavern wasn’t exactly what you’d expect; there were houses, stores, and even trees here and there. Several Fire types ( Like Guilmon, Spikeys, and Charmanders.) walked around, minding their own business. The Fire Fishy that lead the group here in the first place was now leading them towards a large, gray stoned temple in what looked like the center of the caverns.

“ Er, isn’t the Fire Temple suppose to have traps and things like that in it?” WackoMan asked from a corner of his PET.

“ Oh goodness no!” the Fire Fishy replied, “ The place where Link adventured in Ocarina of Time was actually the Fire Dungeon, which is farther north of here. When that adventure became a game in the Human world, there was a mistake and they called it the Fire Temple. Same goes for the other ‘temples’ in that game. Mistakes like that happen in a game once in a while.”

“ Sometimes, games and adventures can be similar with only a few mistakes, while other times whole storylines can be different,” Haly added.

“ Soooo, do many visitors come here?” Maddy asked.

“ Not really. Usually we get visits from other Fire types, but this area’s reputation doesn’t bring many tourist here.” the Fire Fishy replied, “ Then again, what else do you expect from a place that’s called Death Mountain?”

“ Good point,” Maddy said.

“ Muh-maybe we shouldn’t go inside,” WackoMan said nervously, “ I mean, what if he’s sleeping? Or taking a Lava Bath? Or out on some important king errand?”

“ Nonsense! King Volvagia always likes getting guests,” the Fire Fishy said happily, “ especially since he’s expecting the Diva! C’mon, let’s go in!” Everyone then followed the virus inside.

They walked down a hallway with a long crimson carpet rolling down the middle. On either side of them, portraits of the past kings were hung. Most of them were dragons like Volvagia, but every second or two you’d see a portrait of something like a giant Lava Beetle or a Lava Gohma. They also passed a doorway or another hallway every once in a while.

“ Is it just me, or is dis hallway tiltin’ down a bit?” Haly asked as she looked at the portraits.

“ It really is tilting down,” the Fire Fishy said, “ The door at the end of this hallway is to King Volvagia’s chamber.”

“ Ya mean that one?” Haly replied while pointing ahead.

“ Yes, that’s it! Could you open it up for me? I have no hands, sadly.”

“ Feh, I have no hands, and I can still pick up and grab things,” TorchMan said, “ I don’t know HOW I can do it, but I still can.”

Haly K’s Comment: We know you’re lieing, Torchy.

“ Be quiet or else, ya obsessive WWW stalker!! And don‘t call me Torchy!!”

Haly K’s Comment: I am not a stalker!! And I can call you whatever I what!!

“ Er, who are you talking to?” WackoMan asked.

“ Even I don’t know, actually,” TorchMan replied.

Haly K’s Comment: What?! How could you not know me?!? I’m the one who has you where you are right now in the first place!!!

“ Did you hear something?” TorchMan asked WackoMan, “ I think there might be a slight bug in my Hearing Program.”

“ I think it might be a bug,” the clown Navi replied, “ ‘cause I didn’t hear a thing.”

Haly K’s Comment: -.-;;

Match opened the door, and everyone went inside.

“ We ssshould go back to Death Mountain,” Zweegle said to Anemon, “ If Volvagia endsss up recognizing Match, then they’ll find out for sssure who he’sss decended from!”

“ I talked to the master about it,” Anemon replied, “ and she said that it’s alright if they do find out. It won’t change a thing in the plans.”

“ How did the massster know about that anywaysss?” Zweegle asked.

“ I asked her the same thing. She said that, when she turned into a Nobody, she gained Ancient knowledge that no one else has. Nothing more.”

“ And ssshe doesssn’t know how ssshe gained that knowledge?”

“ No she doesn’t. That’s why she left the Organization; she knew more than they did. No, more than they ever could know.”

“ Hmm...”

On the other side of the door, the walls of the gigantic chamber were made of greenish-gray bricks. There were lit torches high on the sides of the gray pillars that circled the chamber. In the center, there was a giant pit filled with lava, surrounded by dirt. Past the lava pit on the opposite side of the room was a large steel door. High above, a small, oval-shaped ruby was placed into the high ceiling.

“ This is it??” Maddy asked in surprise; she was expecting something more.

“ Where’s Volvagia anyways?” Match asked while looking around.

“ Hm, I know he’s not out doing any sort of errand right now,” the Fire Fishy replied, “ I’m pretty sure he’s-”

“ Here?” a voice said from the lava pit.

Out from the lava pit, a long snake-like creature burst out and floated in the air. It had two goat-like horns on its head, a short snout, green eyes, long skinny arms with claws, no legs or wings, and three steams of fire come out of the back of its head like hair. The scales on its back arms, and face were a dark reddish brown, while the scales on its underbelly were a pale yellow.

“ Ah, so you’re the new Diva, eh?” the creature said while looking down at Maddy from the air.

“ Er, um, yes, your highness, King Volvagia, sir,” Maddy replied, extremely nervous.

“ Come now! No need to be shy,” Volvagia said as he ‘landed’ on the ground around his lava pit. He stood upright, making him have to look down to see Maddy and the others.

Haly K’s Comment: Landed, in this case, meaning he rested the lower half of his body on the ground, since he has no legs. How can he float/fly though the air if he has no wings, anyway? O.o

“ Uh, er, well, that is, you see,” Match placed his hand over Maddy’s mouth to make her stop shuddering.

“ Eh? You must get nervous easily or something,” the king replied.

“ Say, if you’re a dragon, how come ya got no wings or legs?” Haly asked.

“ I just am, alright?!” Volvagia replied rudely, crossing his arms, “ There’s a kind of dragon called a lindworm that has no legs or wings, but it’s still a dragon! Heck, I’m a Lava Lindworm at that. Besides, my title in the Bosses’ Guild is ‘Subterranean Lava Dragon’, even though I don’t look like one!!”

“ Geez, ya don’t have ta be so touchy about it!” Haly mumbled.

Haly K’s Comment: There IS such thing as a lindworm in myths and legends. Or at least according to my Dragonology book there is. >.>;

“ Anyways, servants!” Volvagia snapped his fingers ( Claws?) and 10 of his servants, five Charmanders and five Agumon, appeared at the door to his chamber, “ Take our new guests here to their rooms.”

“ Yes, King Volvagia!” the servants replied in unsion while saluting.

“ Wow, you must have a lot of servants here, huh?” Match said.

“ That’s what comes with being a--” Volvagia stopped suddenly while staring at Match, “ Huh? Wait a second...”

“ Um, is something wrong?” Match asked.

Volvagia stooped down so he was at Match’s level, and asked, “ I know this may sound weird, but haven’t we met before?”

“ Huh?” Match said, obviously surprised.

“ I dunno why, but you look REALLY familiar...”

“ Er, no offence, but maybe it’s just you? I mean, this is only my second trip into the Dream World, and in all honesty the first time I’ve met you.”

“ Maybe it IS just me,” Volvagia stood upright again, “ Now, to your rooms!” He watched as his servants lead them out of the chamber, closing the door behind them. The Fire Fishy was still in the room with his king, though.

“ Master Volvagia? Why do you think Match seems so familiar to you?” the virus asked.

“ I honestly have not idea,” the Lava Lindworm replied, “ but I have a feeling that it’s something important...”

Night came quickly, even though you couldn’t really tell. After dinner, Maddy, Match, and Haly went to their rooms. The door behind the lava pit in the chamber they were in earlier lead to Volvagia’s room. It looked like a cave. A large bed with white sheets was in the center, with shelves filled with books, trophies, and momenttos on either side of the bed. The King of Fire himself was in his bed, his head on the pillow, staring at the rocky ceiling.

‘ Great,’ Volvagia said in his head, ‘ I think that that Match human looks familiar, and now I can’t get it out of my head! I need my dragon sleep, especially since I finally got rid of that sleeping problem I had!!’

He turned on his side in bed, and saw his books, ‘ Maybe some reading will help.’ His arm was long enough to get one of the books without having to get out of bed. He read the title of the old green book he picked out:

“ Ah, this is one of my favorites!” Volvagia said aloud happily. He opened it up.

“ Hm, let’s try Chapter 4,” he said to himself.

CHAPTER 4 ~ THE GUARDIANS

‘Guardian’ is a term for a male angel. Female angels are simply called ‘Angels’. In the Human World, angels are considered to be messangers of their god, when in actuality they are merely a race of dream human that, over time, evolved bird-like wings. They have recently gain the ability to hide their wings, so that they may surprise their enemies in battle.

There are ten Guardians for each of the ten elements. While a Guardian may have a female child that bears the angel blood of his or her element, that child will still be called the Guardian of that element. The last know Guardians traveled into the Human World for unknown reasons, so their current desendants are unknown.

The only way to tell if a human is a Guardian of an element, though, is to see what similarities he or she has with the last known Guardian of the element. The most common similarities are same type and color hair, eyes, and wings. It is possible that a Guardian might not know he or she has angel blood, for the wings are hidden at birth. Overtime, the Guardian might think that he or she is nothing but a normal human.

On the next page was a picture of the last known Guardian of Fire. At the bottom was his name, but for some reason the name was a bit worn, so you could only read a few letters: ‘Kon*k* H**o’

“ Wait a minute,” Volvagia said as he looked closer at the picture, and read the part about how to tell a human could be a Guardian again.

“ EURIKA!” Volvagia cried out, “ That‘s it!!”

I might not update as often since school will start up tomorrow, so I'll only be able to update on the weekends. -_-; BUT!
