Not everyone has a Wii. Some of you guys have a 360, or maybe even a PS3. And all of you have a computer, obviously.
I found this review the other day and I thought I'd share:
http://www.hardcoreware.net/reviews/review-356-1.htm
This reviews the lowest, max, and average wattage of each system during gameplay, movie watching, and idle/standby as well.
Now you'll have an idea of just how much damage your system is doing to you/your parent's electricity bill. The results might just be surprising. _________________

It looks like a grill, consumes like a grill and overheats like a grill. Eventually plays blueray movies too though. What is it?
PS3GRILL!
I already knew about all this but it's always so damn funny. :3 _________________ SPOILER:

I remember an article in my paper this past summer comparing the energy consumption from systems back to NES all the way up to 360 (obviously the new systems weren't out yet then), and it was interesting to read. Of course, with each new generation of system, the consumption seemed to spike up considerably. Quite amazing how little Wii uses. Probably still more than the NES vs. 360 was, but still cool info to know. Guess it should be expected when they have all those additional features. I thought the DVD player comparison was the most dramatic. Best quit using my PS2 to play movies and stick to the player plugged in right next to it! _________________ Avatar art thanks to toberboobap, animated gif thanks to Dr. Wily II

Just looking at the graphs makes me chuckle about my friend who kept bragging about getting a PS3 for his birthday. _________________ The time is come. Bid farewell to your bloodstained past.

The low power usage for the wii just confirms my belief that it is the best system out there. _________________

it's actually quite good to know for someome who wants to buy the new generation consoles(includin myself).my brother and I was hesitating with the wii and the ps3,with that it might change or siding to the ps3....or maybe not
but I'm quite suprised that 2/3 console take that much energy.I know that it did take more than a gameboy or other stuff, looking at the graphs, suprise came fast _________________ don't mind me.I'm quite quiet.
