That's right, I woke up to my glowing Wii and turned it on to find a note from Nintendo. It thanked me for my support and told me that the Forcast Channel was ready to go live. So, I clicked the 'update' button and let my Wii do its thing.
It's really rather neat and fun to play around with. Cute music, too.

I woke up around 7:30 and my mom said "The Wii is blue." I was like "It's probably from Link about Ryuusei" but I was surprised to find the Forecast Channel ready to rock. It is totally fun spinning the globe~
This friday we get the trial version of the Internet Channel. So keep a look out for more blue-ness then. _________________

Yeah, yesterday morning, I woke up and my girlfriend looked over and said, why is your Wii flashing, and I was like huh?
I figured it was going thur a update, so I checked and found out the Forecast Channel was going live! Coolest part was, My town was one of the town you can check the weather on!
....I love you Nintendo, now we don't have to wait for the Local Forecast on the Weather Channel or have to look it up online....
Nintendo & Nasa, holy crap! The first Wii in Space! _________________ -Follow me on Twitch.tv-

Yeah, I downloaded the update myself yesterday... I was very impressed with the quality of it. Very clean, smooth, and fun to use and view.
I love how it has little subtle sound effects...
Best of all, the weather will be implemented into games. _________________

The only sound effects I've heard are for raining and thunderstorms.
Now, you know what would be really neat is if they do that for Animal Crossing. _________________

Same here... there really isn't a sound effect that the sun would make, so it makes sense... I'm sure there are others... maybe blowing wind for a blizzard, or a klaxon for severe weather _________________

I tried to update my Wii with the Forecast Channel, but it didn't exactly work out as I had hoped. I might as well try it again to see if it does work this time otherwise I could be missing out on something really interesting. I've heard a lot about the channel and so I am very eager to try it out for myself. The letter from Nintendo (although I am assuming for us the NOA's were the ones who sent it out) was a nice touch. _________________ --Official Nintendo.com Sage even without the actual forums being there-- |

Rather than making a new thread...I'll post here...LIVE from the Wii.
Internet Channel Trial today~ it's fantastic. Typing's a bitch though. I demand a keyboard. YouTube is a bit random...it will work one time...and other times it will crap out.
Regardless...awesome~ go look af official art on AF. It's huge! XD _________________

When I get a Wii I may post here once. Just for fun. You they'll make a keyboard? |

I still need to check my Wii in regards to the Internet Channel but I have been seeing a number of opinions about the feature from many people where I usually frequent. A number of like it already while others are finding it difficult to use especially without a keyboard. I kind of figured that typing would be hard to do so I am not surprised one bit about that drawback. Of course, this is just the beta version of the channel and despite some of the problems that may come up, this gives us an idea as to how the final version will look once it has been released.
Nintendo haven't announced anything about a keyboard, but you never know what might happen in the near future so the best thing one can do is wait and see what happens next. _________________ --Official Nintendo.com Sage even without the actual forums being there-- |

the weather channel is fun but useless, but the browser [which I'm using now] is really good considering I'm using a TV and a wiimote |
