They'll probably release Gyakutan Saiban 4 (the series' title in Japanese) before a DS port of PW3 in America since the already announced a Spring 2007 release of GS4 in Japan, but from the success of the first two DS ports in the US, they will probably make Phoenix Wright 3 for the US. Gyakutan Saiban 3 wrapped up an arc in the series, so I see no reason why they'd jump to 4 without finishing that up. _________________

During an interview with Capcom's Senior director of strategic planning and research it was stated on Court Records that...
Quote: | #9. At either E3 or TGS, the particular event alludes me at this time, it was brought up from a Capcom employee that he was unsure at that time if GS4 or GS3 would see localization first. Is Capcom 'considering' skipping GS3 and going right into GS4 should enough profit from JFA's release warrant another localized title? With 'considering' being in reference to the possibility but not being anything set in stone that could back lash could the opposite answer come to play.
If it were to happen (and again, every new iteration is contingent upon the sales of the prior outing), we would do Ace Attorney 3 before Ace Attorney 4. It makes no sense to bring them over out of order. This is doubly true given that AA4 is made from the ground up for the DS. If we shipped AA4 before AA3, it would seem like a step back in the quality of the franchise.

So they won't be bringing out 4 before 3. Next time look over the evidence more carefully Aya. Really, I'm just putting this up to clear any doubt... _________________ http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?ref=profile&id=100000142872316

I was talking about them releasing Gyakutan Saiban 4 (in Japan, which is why I specifically used the Japanese name.) before the US Localization of Phoenix Wright 3. The rest of my post talks about why it would make sense for them to finish up with Phoenix Wright 3 since it completes an arc in the overall story before "Phoenix Wright 4" (if they choose to keep that title...) I never said Capcom USA would release "Phoenix Wright 4" before Phoenix Wright 3. Your quote deals with the order for the American Localzations of games 3 and 4, not how it relates to the Japanese releases.
Perhaps it is not I who should exmaine the evidence more carefully.
The Japanese release date of Gyakutan Saiban 4 would be relevant for those of us who have been importing the DS releases (since it sports full English translations). I'm going to have to hold off getting Gyakutan Saiban 4 prior to Phoenix Wright 3 or else the story *may* not make sense or spoiler-riffic, even though Gyakutan Saiban 4 will be released before the USA Phoenix Wright 3. _________________
