I've posted this in-chan on my my LJ/Facebook, but I thought I'd post it here as well. Call it showing off, sure, whatever... I just think it's cool and wanted to share :3
I'm sure most, if not all of you, are familiar with Apple computers... very stylish. You've probably heard of the Mac Mini; they're compact computer. Well, before the Mac Mini, there was the Power Mac G4 Cube. Sold between 2000-2001, it was a cube-shaped computer. The enclosure was made of a metal cube (holding the hardware itself), which was enclosed in a transparent, acrylic glass rectangular prism of sorts.
Anyhoo, I've seen people turn these things into aquariums before and I thought it was just the coolest thing... so, being the geek I am, I wanted to do one too. So, I tracked down an empty enclosure on eBay and bought it.
After constructing a bottom for the acrylic glass part and sealing it, I have my very own iFish Cube (at least, I call it that) :D
I got a cute little betta for it too~ I keep my little cube on my desk at work... It's become quite popular and we're even having an office-wide contest to name our new friend. XD

Quite a nice setup you've got there =)
I think one of my elementary school teachers had one of those G4s actually. Quite a creative way to use old hardware I must say. |

This is certainly not the world's first Cube Aquarium, nor the first aquarium made for Apple hardware...

ooh, i've looked at some of the ones on the Apple site but i like your's better Zippo! maybe it's the blue rocks ...
