The Insider is the proof, Sol! ;p
While I would say the opening words by ACME could have been phrased differently, she's not saying he for sure is hosting in September (hence the question marks in the title of this thread). It's just a possibility. That interview was on various entertainment programs, I'm sure I could scrounge the net to find a printed story as well. But he did state that he was open to continue hosting to begin next season, if a replacement was not found. The interview was shown before the final taping, before this Rosie stuff popped up. I'm sure Middy could back me up on that, too.
Will it happen? Would be nice. Is anything "official?" No. _________________ Avatar art thanks to toberboobap, animated gif thanks to Dr. Wily II

All that is known at the moment is that should CBS be unable to find a suitable replacement for him, Bob is willing to return for the 36th season. (Citation from HERE.) This doesn't mean that he will come back, but it's certainly hope. Nevertheless, we should be ready for the prospect that he will not come back. _________________ Today, these three players are after Big Bucks! I don't understand why they can't just let the show be over for good. I love the showas much as anyone else, but I'd rather die than to see anyone other than Bob Barker host it. Poor guy just needs to retire already. _________________ "Cats are interesting. They're kind of like girls. When they come talk to you, it's great. As much as I agree with that, Ryo, I still think that we should give the replacement a chance. Give him a season or two to acclimate to the new job. Surely the new host knows the huge shoes that he has to fill. After a few months, then the viewers can pass judgment, and then we will see if the show needs to be retired. _________________ Today, these three players are after Big Bucks! I agree with Midnight. Although I don't think anyone could host it as well as Bob Barker. _________________ Stop looking at my sig. Stop it. Stop it. STOP IT. WHAT PART OF STOP LOOKING AT MY SIG DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND?!?!?!?!?! |

It's a shame he retired since its one of my favorite shows of all-time... and for many other people as well, but he is in his mid-80's so it was rather inevitable at this point. I think I'd boycott CBS if they ever hired Rosie O'Donnell... that would just be sad. Not wanting to be a smart-alec here, but i think i should take over. I know all the games, can describe them to almost the last detail and can probably win them.... even the Grocery Game and the Check Game, 2 of the easiest-made-difficult games off all time. |

I do know a lot of people don't want rosie. But if we got just the right person to host then it might work. It wasn't the same after rob rody died was it? So they just need to get the right, non-rosie, host for it. |
