Mm...we start with Luna going through her private collection of Rockman photos, while there are some commercials on TV about cooking. After watching two or three of these commercials, Luna decides that she'll learn to cook in order to gain Rockma's love.
Needless to say, the first few tries don't go over well, as the head Butler becomes incapacitated and Luna herself becomes ill to the point of up-chucking.
Now back to our favorite FM-misfits. We now know that Ophiuchus is basically the breadwinner of the bunch, working multiple (and humiliating) jobs in order to keep her bottomless companions fed. However, it seems she's sick and tired of them eating like pigs and teaches them a lesson.
Back with Luna. She's at the grocery store looking for various foodstuffs, when she happens to run into Subaru's mom. I guess Luna tells her she's trying to learn how to cook, and Akane offers to teach her.
Much to the dismay of Subaru when he gets home. Especially when Luna tells him she's learning so she can impress Rockman. (Awkward.)
For the next several days, Luna's attempts at cooking fail miserably. Finally, however, she feels good enough to use Subaru as her cooking guinea pig. This however, also ends in tragedy.
At long last, though. Luna's attempt at breakfast passes the taste test (as far as Akane is concerened). Now to see what Subaru thinks...
And meanwhile, I guess Ophiuchus is happy about all the money she saved up. :\
A rather pointless episode, though necessary to the next episode.
I really liked WarRock's retarded laugh toward the end. _________________

I thought it was a pretty useless episode too, but that didn't take away from my enjoyment of it. For as long they've been putting off the real plot, I've found the filler episodes to be amusing.
Subaru's mom is a terrible woman - laughing at her son's expense. She's adorable<3<3<3 And as unexpected as it was, it was cute how that mother-daughter thing struck up between Luna and Akane. |

At times I was fooled into thinking this was an Adachi episode with some of the beautifully drawn closeups. Some very nice art, in my opinion. Pointless filler, sure, but I really enjoyed it. We're getting odd, mundane things you don't see in anime often recently: bathroom and grocery shopping scenes!
Loved War Rock's laugh at one point, and I'd laugh at Subaru with his hot lips (man, things I type today sound so wrong :/). Wonder what W Luna is saving up for.

I've been noticing a bit of Adachi's touch in this episode as well as in 43 (especially when Misora's speakers go nuts about the viruses)... But there's a LOT of Adachi beauty in this one. In fact, I'd say he did almost half the episode, but went uncredited. (I hate to be conceited, but I can really identify my EXE/Ryusei art directors.) The same thing happened in EXE a few times with very obvious shots of Mitsuru Ishihara's work (I recall it in the Godzilla Rush and Knightman's Betrayal episodes)... yet, her name wasn't in the credits. Since Adachi has the same job for Beast+ and Ryusei that Ishihara had for EXE thru Beast (basically being the really, really good art director that does occasional episodes and almost all the stock footage, as well as the character designer), it's not too surprising the same thing is happening here. After all, Adachi hasn't had an episode to do in a while, and Ryusei is low on stock footage... But hopefully, they're withholding Adachi's talents for the plot-driven episodes coming up later this month and through October. _________________

I gotta say, that even if all we're getting are plot fillers, I really don't mind them. ^o^ They're so much fun, just like this last one. I'm starting to belive they're not thinking about ending the serie at 52 episodes like we predicted, but go on for much longer, until they stash material from both Ryuusei 1 and 2.
If not even, we'll have Ryuusey 2 material with still the Ryuusei 1 FMs still alive!
I wouldn't mind them actually, they're building up quite some character, and they're becoming really entertaining to watch. XD
Sure, they should go back to the main plot sometime, anyway.... _________________ SPOILER:

The episode was enjoyable, Subaru's reactions at the end were priceless, Warrock's laugh was very funny as well. (I don't know what he was saying though)
Nice episode, I quite like most of the fillers but I'm looking forward to see the series progress with the main plot again. Gemini Spark hasn't appeared for quite some episodes now.
@DanSidney: The series won't end at episode 52, as there are new episode titles that go beyond that. Most likely (I'm not sure) the series could end at 56 episodes. I'm glad that this season continues a bit longer. Judging the latest episode titles, it seems they are giving a good amount of time to the final story arc. _________________ This great avatar is made by Synchro-kun. Thank you! |

Which is most likely to happen. We already have episode 54's title, thanks to Crimson Seiko: "Andromeda. " _________________

Well... logically the photos Luna have does not make sense. If you observe the pictures and think about the episode that they appear in. About Akane laughing at Subaru... since Akane's seiyuu is Rockman EXE's seiyuu, it makes me feel like old rockman laughing at new rockman lol. |
