Ryuusei 51 (Unexpected spoilers)

The Satellite Police are on their way as the FMs cause havoc with pan shots of doom. Tsukasa stands on a rooftop with Gemini (haven't seen the guy since 16). It seems the Andromeda Key is just about full. Tsukasa notices a streak of light pass overhead. It's Subaru.

Title Screen: Brotherband

Ox Fire and Libra Balance greet the police with a Fire Breath and Flame Weight, but Subaru saves Goyoda with a Barrier (other policemen not important?). The predictable back and forth ensues, with the man being largely ignored. Ox Fire tries to toast Subaru, but Subaru whips out a Plasma Gun...

At AMAKEN, it appears that the Brotherband wave from the station has made some kind of contact with the FM Planet. Kizamaro asks what that 'Warrock' thing was. Gonta and Luna seem to be connecting the dots on their own, much to Amachi and Utagai's dismay. Luan wants to go where Rockman-sama is, but Amachi just barely manages to talk her out of it.

On an airplane somewhere, Kaneda seems to have dragged Misora off to have a vacation, probably just to get away from the happenings in Japan, judging from Misora's sulkyness. Some of the other passengers get the news (via headphone) that the FMs are rampaging about. Misora takes out her Wave Scanner, nods, then shuts herself in the lavatory. For future reference, it's not a good idea to shout your henshin 'password' in a public area, because you can clearly hear her through the door... To say nothing of the bright pink flash that follows...

Back in Kodama, Crown Thunder and Wolf Forest launch their attacks, Fall Thunder and Howling Wolf, at Subaru, but he just jumps away. Cancer Bubble and Ophiuchus Queen get the drop on him though. Oh yeah, Ox Fire and Libra Balance want some payback too. So now Subaru's surrounded, and the Key seems to be full. Don't ya hate Murphy's Law?

Now a true WTF moment for the ages: Goyoda charges in wielding some huge-ass hammer. He phails, of course, getting himself zapped. But the FMs, in their infinite obliviousness, let Subaru get away. Oh, and Misora's song starts playing. What was I saying before about Murphy's Law? She's saved him... I'm kinda starting to wonder if the writers will ever let her do something else. Cancer's all sad though. Everyone knows that Misora isn't Harp Note./sarcasm. She attacks with Machine Gun Strings, while Subaru uses Ryuusenzan. Luna's furious.

Time to pop out Pegasus Rockman. Ox Fire and Libra Balance find themselves in a deep freeze.

Next is Dragon Rockman. Wolf Forest and Crown Thunder? Owned.

Last but not least, Leo Rockman. Bye bye Cancer Bubble and Ophiuchus Queen. The Andromeda Key falls and breaks. WTF face from every FM. Cancer Bubble starts crying.

Sooo, now what's gonna happen? Some stars begin to sparkle in the daytime sky. Everyone's confused, but none more than Tsukasa, who looks utterly shocked. It appears to be an order of some sort from Cepheus. Must be in some FM Star language or something. The FMs all wave out (Cancer Bubble has to be consoled by Crown Thunder). Misora waves out as well. Subaru doesn't seem the least bit concerned. He waves out.

Tsukasa is quite pissed at this turn of events.

At AMAKEN again, the crew is back. There's more discussion on Daigo's fate. Nothing really exciting.

At FM HQ, Cancer raves on and on. Crown has two ticket things. Misora concert tickets? Trying to cheer his friend up? All the FMs, save Ox, leave. Crown and Cancer are going to that concert after all. Ox is all alone at the table, when an Elec Sword pierces his chest. It's Gemini Spark. Ox manages to call him a bastard before he's deleted. His body dissolves and the real Andromeda Key refills a bit.

In the North, Andromeda is frozen in that giant iceberg from last week. A crack appears in the surface.

I thought most of this episode was pretty bland, unfortunately. But the end was very, very interesting. Now two of the FMs are deleted. Looks like Gemini Spark is gonna go on an FM killing spree.

Edit Okay, I've watched the rest with audio, and have updated the summary to reflect that.

Remember the scene were all the pretty lights appeared? Wolf said something about it being an order of somekind. I think it means that the FM King is on his way to take care of earth personally or something. Whatever the case, I think THAT'S what pissed Tsukasa off, since I think it means he needs to accelerate his plans a bit. Or something like that.

As I said, I wasn't using sound at that point, so I have no clue. I thought it was the real negative energy going bye bye. Though, if all it takes to refill the Key is simply deleting the other FMs, I wonder what the whole point of the ''Here's the Key, good as new.'' thing was from 33. Maybe Cepheus would have noticed if his pawns were being systematically killed off.

The good: Some nicely drawn Tsukasa images, the woman on the plane, Goyoda's whack-a-mole hammer, Ox impaling.

The bad: Rock playing dead while being held by Harp, only to wake up all cheery and go "Harp Note! I'm so thrilled and surprised it's you!"

The ugly: Bathroom henshin talk, the fight with the not-so-really ownage using each Star Break form so quickly, Libra and Ox not only being able to talk but also move the direction they faced to see the FMKing-whatever-they-were-stars while enclosed in ice.

Too bad Ox appeared to be too tired to go to her concert. Seems like a bad choice in retrospect... Laughing

In all seriousness, though, I wonder why part of his armor wasn't destroyed along with him. Other than the fact that he might need to come back in the future. His life sure filled up a bit of the Andromeda Key, though.

I'll have the caps up tomorrow for the imaginary lurkers who download them and pans hopefully by Friday.

Small mistake at the end of your summary, Comic. It wasn't just Gemini Spark White who killed Ox. Gemini Spark Black was there, too. (You can clearly see two blades once Ox is deleted)

Looking back, this is only the third time we've ever seen Gemini in his FM form.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to seeing Cepheus make his television debut.

Do you guys think Cepheus will make his debut by Episode 54? I'm hoping he doesn't, because it would be hard to pull off without making it seem rushed.

But wait. Last time we saw Andromeda it was plunging deep into the Earth's molten interior in its less powerful form. So how did it end up frozen in a glacier?

I'm gonna say that it's a combination of dramatic effect and oversight. This isn't the first time Ryuusei's contridicted itself. It doesn't even seem interested in following its own set of physics.

Well, Gemini would have probably wanted to avoid killing his fellow FM-ians if possible. That would have been suspicious not only to the FM-king, but also War-Rock and Harp. They would probably figure out that something was wrong if the FM-ian attacks suddenly ceased, and that would prematurely stop Tsukasa/Gemini's plans. He was probably getting desperate because of the order, desperate enough to risk it.

Dunno, just a theory.

Ooooohhh, I see now. FM Seijin energy IS minus energy! His armor fell off after being killed because that was not made of denpa. Cygnus' situation was different because he was destroyed way before the key was broken. I wonder how the others will react to this?

Dunno...All Subaru needs to do is bust out Green Dragon and win.

But all jokes aside, I hope that all the FM-ians cluster around Subaru for protection :D that would be interesting to watch.
