LOSH(Legion of Super Heroes) Discussion Thread*SPOILERS*

Hey.I know this is a kinda late start,seeing as the 2nd season is already in full swing,but anybody wanna discuss about the series?Anything you don't like,anything you like...couplings,future ideas for episodes...character past bios?

Just in case anybody missed yesterday's episode,I'm posting some tidbits about it along with some thoughts about the episode:

LL's past is revealed as well as some info about his transformation,several flashback scenes to the incident 10 years ago,Ayla is introduced into the series,Mekt actually joins the good guys(*gasp*),some Braniac 5/Shrinking Violet love and LL loses his arm during a clash with Imperiax(sp?)

I dunno what the episode was called yesterday,but I'm calling it "Song of the Storm",as Ayla's singing was the feedback during the storm.

I know I'm 18 and we all have better things to discuss,but hey,it could be interesting...

You'll also have to clarify which version, though I know you're talking about the current season on Kids WB. From what I read on wiki, it's pretty watered down with a lot of character design changes and strange anatomy, but hey, it made my interest cling O:

I dislike Superman X. Superman is already a jerk, but the new one is even worse. What I hate the most about the kid is that he has virtually no weakness other than social awkwardness.

Malik,I actually am writing this topic for the WB version.^^; The first season sucked,in plot,character designs,etc.But,I'm oddly glued to the TV for season 2.(Last weekend's episode brought in a 9.2 rating!)

So,sure I could redo my post,but most people can come in and talk about the original if they'd like to,I guess.

It's not that bad. And it's true a lot of the characters are toned down "for kids" but some are well done. And the other superman has personal flaws. Plus, maybe a red sun messes him up. They never said anything about that.

They did. It was in the episode where Brainiac 5 kinda went crazy. And then the concept was revisited in the season finale right before the Sun Eater got released.

Actually,the 'new Superman' is called 'Kal-El' in the series from now on.That was his new name in Part 2 of the Season 2 opener.(Dunno how to put that in perspective,though)

I do admit some parts seem a bit childish and some of the voices do sound horrible(I HATE BB's voice....>_<),but overall,I think it is okay...Dunno what most people say though.

I like the Legion considering the fact that I didn't have cable or even knew how to download via bittorrent when the Justice League was on. To me, I enjoy this stuff cause I hardly watch super heroes show when I was a kid (mostly cause I took them for granted and now I realize that I miss those shows a lot)

Now for some reason, I think Phantom Girl and Timberwolf should be together. And we get a new episode this weekend! (I think...I don't remember the preview)

We get a new episode this weekend and about 4 more afterwards.The plot for this weekend's episode?Legion auditions,Season 2 style.

Coupling Phantom and Timber sound good,especially since he looks out for her.

A few others I picked up are:

Bouncing Boy/Triplicate Girl(Now Duo Damsel)
Braniac 5/Shrinking Violet
Braniac 5/Superman
Lightning Lad/Saturn Girl(WTF?!?)

Karate Kid was based off of Tony Jaa wasn't he? And I don't think the Legion has ever heard of Batman, judging from their "no power" rule.

Okay.I watched "Chained Lightning"(Aka the episode I watched before starting this thread) again and noticed something.Mekt and Lightning Lad's strained relations remind me of the relations that Vergil and Dante have in "Devil May Cry" as well as Sesshomaru and Inuyasha from "Inuyasha".

Ayla reminds me a lot like Rin.Maybe there's something there?

Next week is a Braniac 5-centric episode.Should be good from the trailer,but we could be fooled...
