The Five Diaries of Hikari Netto *EXE - Ryuusei Spoilers*

In Ryuusei 2's EXE Sidequest; you receive diaries. These are Netto's diaries.

Because it goes into great detail about the end of the EXE Series, and what happened. I decided to post them separately rather than in the Ryuusei thread itself.

I would like to thank Josu who translated these for me. He didn't have to translate them, and he didn't have to let me post them. So everyone needs to thank him.

There are five diaries you receive as rewards. We have four of them. I will post the fifth one when he translates it. Here we go!

January XX

"Today was the Akihara Elementary school class reunion , after graduation, we were all seperated...it seems like time passed in an instant. My old friend Dekao was elected mayor while still young, he is quite distinguished. Also, Yaito is flying all over the world as a female president. I won't be defeated by those two, I will become a great scientist!”

March XX

“Because Enzan is returning to Japan for the first time in ages, I said I will welcome him at the airport. He is being commended by the government for his activities as an international official netbattler. Therefore, this is a big event. When that guy is glad, he sure doesn't show it, "I do not work in to be praised, therefore I'm not especially proud of anything" That cool attitude from old times hasn't changed at all.”

July XX

"Akihara elementary school was rebuilt, it has become so high-tech now. As the nostalgic school building becomes impossible to see, I think I'm a bit lonely. Oh right! A building is vanishing in the distance, it seems that the Higureya will be lost soon. It is going to be crushed. I heard it was being transferred. It seems there will be a new 10 floor store with the changed name Higure Department store opening. People will definately gather at the opening ceremonies.”

May XX

Thought I'd buy a PET for my son Raito because he's getting bigger. My wife Meiru said 'is it too soon?' The installed Net Navi was named Rockman Jr. My navi is Rockman and Meiru's navi is called Roll, a program combining the best qualities of both net navis. Raito was quite happy "I'm going to become the #1 netbattler in the world!" It is good for a father to see a son do that kind of growth.

November XX
There was a meeting held at the science bureau and I brought up the hot topic "bond theory". In the old days, Rockman and I fought for our lives together, besides that, a miraculous, rare power can be born between two people. This power is what made me start thinking about this theory. I was thinking, Although bonds are not totally out of the question, sometimes people don't believe such power can be demonstrated. To summerize it as a theory、 I'm wondering whether it can be helpful to the world. Perhaps it won't even be completed during my lifetime. but... I think I want to bequeth something to the people living in the future. So... Everything for the future!

Whoa thats cool..but..Wouldnt all this be spoilers? Since its in RnR2?

Oh well..That 4th entry..Seems like Netto fuse both Rockman and Roll's seperate data's (their data not them selfs if you get confuse of what I mean) to make..lol Rockman jr. I have to say these are great rewards to get in RnR2..hopefully they won't change it in the English version.

Rockman... Jr.? Seriously? Wow, I've seen a lot of fan comics and stuff where Raito just gets Rockman as a 'hand-me-down', but I don't think anyone's come up with a 'Rockman Jr.' yet... Ah, I can see the fan fics now~ Laughing

Huh, pretty neat. I disapprove of Higure running a department store though. I like him better as the nerdy guy with a small, equally nerdy shop (He had a poster of Vile for christ's sake!), running a small business.

Rockman Jr.... I don't like that for some reason, I just don't. There should only be one navi with the name Rockman in that era. It doesn't feel right, almost as if he's being cheapened... Not to mention it's rather cliche.

Awesome. So, Raito has Megaman Jr huh? So....I guess you could call both of them a chip off the old rock huh? ha ha ha But seriously, This is very interesting.

Ditto on the Jr. status. I mean, if you're trying to give a kid a complex, what better way than to hand him a cheap knock-off of the Net Navi that saved the world a half-dozen times?

I really expected something more original... but Jr.? C'mon, Capcom, you could have done better than that.

Dekao being distinguished. @_@; I think a universe just exploded somewhere. Everyone's favorite buffoon must have really gotten sophisticated....

Yaito a madam president... eh, I can see it. I pity her subjects but I can see it; she totally had that whole princess thing going on.

I can't really say as I ever cared about Higure. Never did and probably never will. So that doesn't really phase me.

I dunno, overall I just find this peicemeal information to be lacking. I'm not expecting a complete storyline to be revealed between EXE and Ryuusei, but with the exception of Higure, Yaito and Rock Jr. we haven't been given any new info at all. It's almost dissappointing, really.

Is it just me, or did Inafune jump onto the idea of Ryusei no Rockman without much thought put into connecting the two series? I get the feeling that this is going to take a turn for the predictable.

My bets are on the 5th diary entry detailing Netto's meteoric rise among the ranks of his fellow scientists, simultaneously fulfilling the January XX entry and revealing his drive to lay down the framework for Ryusei's denpa network.

Didn't the ending of EXE6 already tell us that Yaito was the president of the family company? Add that to the pile of old info.

Netto being the one to invent the concept of the Wave World is probably what the last one is, but the idea of him doing that isn't really unexpected, considering his and Rockman's final dialogue was about making the future Yuuichero, Tadashi, and Wily dreamed of. Add that to the new-but-sorta-not-new pile.

The last Diary has been posted...see the top post.

Netto created the theory that gave birth to the Brother Band. He calls it the Bond Theory.

Just when you think they have nothing to do with each other...this happens...bravo Inafune.

Despite the cliche of it all, these are still really interesting. And it makes me happy to see that EXE is still a part of something, even if it is vague. ^^;

Well then, that's very clever. He really was that intelligent as to do something on par with his dad and grandpa. Hey, you could also find megaman in Ryusei 1 couldn't you.

It does seem weird that so much happened in just 3(?) years of Netto's life, then absolutely nothing in high school, college, and beyond. Oh well. >.>;

So NetNavi reproduction IS possible.

Did Capcom come up with this or have they been reading fanfics for ideas?
