I had to tear myself away from Apollo Justice to type this. But it was worth it. Until the file decided to break. Then it got annoying. But still worth it.

Title Screen: An Absurd Strategy!?

Yeti Blizzard goes on about beating Subaru to a pulp and taking his OOPArt before using Yukidama Fall. Subaru blocks them with buster shots.

At AMAKEN, they're worrying about the viruses that are appearing all over town. In town, the police use their new rifles to delete the Eyez viruses that are descending on them. Hey, and Goyoda's voice sounds normal again too. The damage caused by the viruses and the battle makes the place look like a war zone.

Hyde's art class has relocated to a peaceful park now. A park with gravestones. While the children are frolicing about, Hyde is busy at his canvas. But he just can't come up with something to paint. Luna comes up to him, introducing none other than Akane, who seems quite keen on this class. Hyde looks bewildered.

Back in Kodama, Goyoda and his men finally wrap things up, but there are injuries, sadly. But this isn't the end of it. AMAKEN picks up even more virus readings. Goyoda walks into the lab to confer with Amachi. I take it back, his voice is still off.

Yeti Blizzard uses Yukidama Fall again, but Subaru punches through it with a Heat Upper. Yeti Blizzard catches his fist, but is forced back into the side of a building. The two OOPArts resonate, resulting in more virus appearing. Amachi and Goyoda discuss this, revealing that it is the OOPArts that are attracting the viruses, and that Rockman himself is part of the problem.

Subaru throws Yeti Blizzard onto the stands of a sports stadium, giving the yeti an idea. He starts to chuck snowballs into the air. Yukidama Rush, he calls it.

Back to the art class. Hyde is still having trouble deciding what to draw. He eventually gives up and shreds the paper he was working with, fuming about the OOPArt he missed eariler. He talks with the kids a bit and after being driven crazy due to what they chant (sounds like 'OOPArts get') his expression resembles one of his paintings!

Meanwhile, Yeti Blizzard has succeded in covering the field with snow. Using Nadare Daiko, he buries Subaru underneath a blanket of the stuff. But all he has to do to melt it is activate Thunder Berserk. He turns everything around and buries his opponent under the snow! Knocking him out of the stadium in the process.

The children continue to play in the park, ignoring the despondant Hyde. The only one who's still painting is Akane. Whatever she's working on, it involves quite a bit of blue. Luna starts longing after Rockman-sama once more, and when Kizamaro and Gonta say that he's really Subaru, she goes off on how Hoshikawa-kun isn't Rockman. Hyde realizes something. Akane introduced herself as 'Hoshikawa'.

Back in the stadium, Subaru transforms back to his normal Rockman state. The scoreboard in the back switches on, not displaying a score, but rather, Hyde. Every screen in the city, from AMAKEN's lab to one of Misora's concert venues, displays the same thing. Akane, sitting by a fountain, back to the camera. You don't need to know Japanese to figure this one out. It's either Subaru's OOPArt, or his mother's life.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Preview: Hyde tips his hat, Akane is held fast by Phantom Claw, Rockman leaps after Phantom Black, then gets thrown into a warehouse, Orihime smiles, and Subaru grimaces.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Another decent episode. Not all that much in terms of substance, I suppose, but it sets up the next one nicely. While Thunder Berserk was again used as a battle ender, it didn't seem as forced, probably because it was an indirect ownage this time, and not WHAM BAM U LOSE. And Hyde has quickly elevated himself on the villain scale. Being stylish and evil is one thing, but taking a mother hostage is a whole new ballgame.

I have absolutely no idea who's doing the art next episode, but it looked quite nice. This'll end all doubts over whether Akane knows Subaru's alter ego or not. Oh, and evil Orihime too. Plot is moving along. Finally.

Quite a cool episode, indeed! The Yeti battle wasn't epic by any means, but it did the job. So we finally got one that had a good mix of drama, humor, some story movement and good art all put together nicely. I hope this can carry over for a while and we get a good arc before any fillers hit.

She was being a good little student and drawing the skeleton that was on the fountain, which was seen at like 2:40 into the eppy. Not much of a difference in pose from last week's skullheadbonyhands, but not as colorful, either. Laughing All the blue paint was just water spraying around it. She's more skilled than Hyde!! Razz

I also still don't think Goyoda sounds quite right. If it is still the same seiyuu, he must be staying more monotonous and a little more serious in tone compared to last season.

*3/7 EDIT* PPPPANS!!:

Hyde just jumped like ten points on the bad guy meter. I loved how the pieces fell together like that. THIS is why you don't go around telling your secret identity to people!

Fun fact of the day: Yeti Blizzard introduced the Yukidama Rush back in epsiode 10, just after he got the Dinosaur OoPART.

Hooray for plot movement!

BAH! Curse you YouTube! The one episode I actually want to see is the one that you refuse to load for me. ;_;

Anyways, like my above sentence indicates, I haven't seen the episode but this sounds interesting. Hyde has just single-handedly outperformed every villian from Ryuusei with the exception of Cygnus (although sadly, that's not really saying much). Who knew that he had it in him? I'd have expected Gori to pull something like this long before Hyde would have...

If the summaries can be believed, then Hyde's really going to push his way way up the villian scale like no one we've ever seen.

Now if we could get more plot like this and a dash of character development, it would all be good.

If I'm right the kids are chanting "omake!" meaning something among the lines of "do something extra!" Guess Hyde can't take it anymore.
