What really caught my attention wasn't that a Mega Man 9 might be in the works; what really caught my attention was the fact that this Mega Man 9 would be a downloadable game with online multiplayer. The original news post asks "What kind of game is being suggested here?" What indeed? A Kirby-esque co-op platformer? A Jazz Jackrabbit 2-like deathmatch mode? Anybody have any ideas?

| Id rather it be a multi console game than a downloadable game. I mean, make the fans have to buy a system just to play it? Id rather it come out on all the systems |

If they make Mega Man 9, I want Capcom to finally let Mega Man grow up and out of sprites. As much as I love sprite games, I want to walk Mega Man through a true *maze* in all three of the D's, in something similar to Mega Man legends... but with more of the blasting and less of the treasure hunts. Although I wouldn't mind some fun puzzles in the stages, even if they aren't exactly a core part of the Mega Man formula.
Basically, Capcom needs to mix it up. Mega Man fizzled and burnt out and if he's really gonna come back, it needs to be with a bang. For the plot, how about a new villain kidnaps Dr. Light and makes him build the next set of robot masters, so Mega Man has to team up with Dr. Wily to stop them? huh? How's about them apples, Capcom? :D

I really hope that they are making a Mega Man 9. I want the stroy to finally be wrapped up.
I think it will be like MMPU regarding the internet content and what not.

D: do we really have to wrap up the story? From the way Mega Man 8 ended with Duo and everything, it sounded like Capcom was trying to open up a whole new chapter. I wouldn't mind bringing Duo's planet and race into the mix, see how they affect the plot.
