Site problem...

no it's not this site or even mine, just another site i'm registered on. recently a handful of people were breaking one of the bigger rules of the forums. however the site has also experianced some technical problems deleting mostly everyone's account and noone can remake their account due to some other stuff i don't really understand. the site has a guest function so people can post replies as well as threads without having to re-register. they cannot however receive pm's. anyway i was wondering if those people, as guests, could be IP-banned even though they're not technically registered. i'm pretty much just wondering since i can't physically do anything seeing as i'm not even a mod. but thier pretty busy fixing the site since a lot of data got deleted. this is my first thread here other then my intro thread so as you can see i'll tend to rammble a lot when i start threads or pm anyone. just a heads up lol

Depends on the forum software used. The answer is: most likely.

Why do you even care, though? It's not like you can do an IP ban yourself.

cuz the rule being broken isnt a simple mistake like a misplacement of a thread or going off topic. and its pretty obvious that its on purpose since its over and over again. same people too.

Again, why do you care? You don't have the power to ban people. If you don't like how your forum's moderators and admins handle things, just leave.
