I've been going back and forth on whether or not to purchase this game for my PC,what with all the realistic graphics and insane(and inane) things you can do with your Sims.
But,is the game worth it to buy?Or should I rent it first?
Someone tried to make me buy it due to the whole alien abduction deal(Which I've been watching aftermath videos for about a week now) and how they can reproduce....
So...some help would be great appreciated on this. _________________ Things are going to be changing soon in the next few months.Stay tuned for updates and the like. |

You can't rent PC games.
That said, to address the topic at hand, I'd say no. The Sims was alright until the gameplay got repetitive, and the regular expansion packs helped for only so long. From what I've played in the sequel, it's really more of the same, only this time, EA is really whoring the brand now that they've finally tapped into the female suburbanite teenager demographic. _________________ *placeholder* |

Well I enjoy the Sims 2. Admittedly it's not the kind of game I can play for days on end but I keep on coming back to it. If you like Sim games it's fun to play around with, especially if you let your Sims have some freedom in what they do. Ultimately if you're a goal driven gamer it may not be the best game for you.
As for the expansions, some add more than others. You don't actually have to get all of them or even in order. As for whoring the brand...well you can't add everything in at once and trying to completely simulate everyday life in it's entirety is a little tricky. So give EA the benefit of the doubt on this one...(at least the Sims 2 doesn't have limited installs. V__V; (I'm looking at you Spore)) _________________
