(Ugh, don't I feel awkward. I went an entire summer without remembering to post this up here.)
Anyhow, earlier this year in mid-May was Anime Central 2008, the midwestern United States's largest anime convention. I attended this event the entire weekend and brought multiple costumes (different ones for different events), but the one I spent the most time in overall was my lovely Laika costume . . . which thankfully, has now been featured on Photaku.org!
I was a bit lonely being the only R.EXE cosplayer in the entire con as far as I knew (according to a convention official, there's a much larger Rockman character cosplay population at SugoiCon), but thankfully, I was lucky enough to be just wandering through the hotel lobby when this guy came up to me and asked to take my picture. So of course, I complied. Several weeks later, he put it up on his online photo gallery, archived in the ACEN 2008 - Friday section.

I still think you look great as Laika X3 I've been to conventions and being the only person dressed up from a certain fandom too >.>;
Lucky you to have been featured there, but with a good reason >D _________________

How did you make it? It looks pretty nice for a hand-made costume. _________________ As a Deviant, I work alone on my projects.

This costume was truly made on a budget, but one that worked fantastically with knowing where to look for the materials.
~ The beret, wig and gloves were bought at a Spirit Halloween store
~ The boots were bought online on an eBay boutique
~ The shirt and pants were actually found at Wal*Mart!! XD
~ Everything else, I already owned (including the headphone/mic set).
Red fabric stripes were hand-stitched to the sleeves of the shirt, and the shirt was cut shorter and modified with belt loops for the "tunic-like" design of the shirt of Laika's uniform. Other things such as the brown wrist cuffs and black boot "stirrups" were made from scratch.
And of course, allow me to poke fun at my own person by saying that my somewhat big nose also aided in the cosplay. _________________
