I enjoy it as well. I might have too much fun with a Geass like his though.
While CC is probably my favorite female on the show. A friend of mine like Kallen though. |

I watched this. In a few years time I'm probably going to remember it more for how over the top and ridiculous it got than anything else though.
It was an interesting mix of metaphysics, mecha, Death Note, and rebellion, but sadly I thought things began to decay as the writers exploded over one too many subplots, had to scrap their old plans when their timeslot was changed, and they had to put the plot on the fast forward button in R2 in order to get to the Zero Requiem arc at the end, resulting in some weird characterization and some disappointments like the Knight of the Rounds being taken out by the Lancelot Albion in a very Gundam SEED Destiny-like fashion.
Still, I liked the Knightmare designs, the battles, most of the humor, the snark value, and the fact that there were a number of seiyuus from Rockman.EXE on board (Lelouch=Searchman, Viletta=Slur, Jeremiah=Sunayama etc.) as well as our old friend Akira Takahashi going a few episodes in the first season. I was disappointed that we never learned waht C.C.'s real name was or we never got an explanation as to what Geass is exactly, not to mention some plot points like Anya being a Soul Jar being dropped all too quickly, it was still a fun and entertaining show overall, and that is all I ask a show to do, really. Entertain me.
The final fight with the Guren SEITEN and the Lancelot Albion was totally awesome. It gained like a billion points for throwing back to the time before every Knightmare Frame in existence got a Float Unit. _________________ ' I don't care if the buzz isn't real- I can roleplay being drunk!'

Great show but I iwsh they made R2 even better than it was, it just feels like Lelouch is the only competent character who can lead the Black Knights effectively and Kallen/Lelouch does not compute contrary to popular opinion. _________________ Guernsey Adams Pierre

Well, Lelouch is a freaking genius of sorts. A true chessmaster. Few could lead like him. That the problem. |

Well, one of the scrapped plot ideas for R2 involved a Zero imitator that was just as good as the real deal...and happened to be a girl named Lycia, which would have confused the Black Knights greatly upon finding out. It's a shame that they didn't go through with it, that scenario sounded like it was going to be quite a bit of fun, since Lelouch would've been forced to join the Black Knights as himself and gotten picked on a bit. Ah well. _________________ ' I don't care if the buzz isn't real- I can roleplay being drunk!'

Well, see, there were a number of times when the fanservice was unnecessary and detracted from the seriousness of what was going on. Like when, for example, they went out of their way to angle a shot of Karen piloting her Knightmare so that her behind was smack dab in the center of the screen. It's totally unnecessary and out of place. Stuff like that turns something serious into a farce.
Code Geass isn't the only anime to do this though, of course. Gainax, for example, pulled a similar trick during the final battle of Rebuild of Evangelion 2.0, when they had Mari, well, gainax, while piloting Unit 02, complete with camera closeup. _________________ ' I don't care if the buzz isn't real- I can roleplay being drunk!'

for me, even though i like the anime after watching it once through and watching the episodes i missed, it is not that good the second time through. there are a few episodes i would not mind re-watching though. _________________ " ♥ ♪ you think you know his battle chips, ♪

I finished it a few weeks ago.
I find it quite interesting to watch, though I wonder if it would be the same if I were to rewatch the series. R2 part wasn't as good as the first season(at least in my opinion) _________________ don't mind me.I'm quite quiet.

R2 really should have been longer, like fifty episodes or something so that they could get all of the plot threads sorted out in a satisfactory manner, but Sunrise had been pretty big assholes when it came to that show from Day 1. They were originally only going to give them the first season when Taniguchi had asked for two, and when the show got popular enough to warrent a second one anyway, Sunrise acted like that had been the plan all along. It's their fault for the final two episodes of the first season being delayed for so long; they really messed up the show's production.
On to something else...has anyone watched Sora wo Kakeru Shojo? Because one of the characters, a computer system named Leopold, is a blatant parody of Lelouch in full-blown Large Ham mode. He's even voiced by Jun Fukuyama and at one point his eye piece changes to resemble the Geass sigil. Heck, that show spoofs a lot of Sunrise anime, from the Gundam Colony Drops to the infamous Pizza Hut product placement in Code Geass. At least, I sure as hell hope they were spoofing that. _________________ ' I don't care if the buzz isn't real- I can roleplay being drunk!'

Wow, I never really knew about the production problems until now. =/
Anyways, I have just began looking through this series. It appears to be very awesome. The idea itself is great. ;3
