I occasionally remember that this forum still exists; it was my very first one all the way back in 2003 when I was just a tween veering into the internet for the very first time. It's fun to pop in here and see that the place is still very "XDXD SO RAND00M," albeit quiet here.

It really has died here, hasn't it? I see some familiar faces that still post here somewhat, but it isn't as active as it was before. Even posts from mods are surprisingly spaced out, and some have only posted because of the yearly con meet. Otherwise, it's just a quick blurb and then off from the forums.

I hear that the IRC is still active, yet I wouldn't know. Most of you knew me as being excessively XDXDXDXDXD to the point that... I think it was Pyo who brought on a +b on my ass years ago. My IP changed every now and then, but it's been stuck on me for years now. Once in a blue moon I load up Sysreset and log in the channel.

Still got that same +b. It doesn't matter as much as it did back then; it's just fun to see if possibly my IP has changed or someone had a change of heart. Knowing REO, the latter is pretty impossible. At least my account for the forums is still here.

So why am I posting this? I mean, it's just a forum on the internet. Why am I making such a big deal?..

At first, I felt overwhelmed about the large amount of time that has passed since I rejoined from the hack that happened... Five years. It just went by like that. New members joined, others left. It appears now that only a few still post on here, but a few is still nice, right?..... Logging back on to this forum is extremely nostalgic for me. This was my first taste of the internet, and left a giant impression on me. I've definitely changed since when I first joined. Since my +bs and the big one that is still on here today.

Closed off one chapter of my life, and moved on. But it's fun to read chapters that are so far back that it takes a while to digest it. It's like looking into the past here. When I was still Chiphunter, some 13 year old butt who typed in chatspeak and annoyed everyone. Who am I now? I'm someone different, but someone who still loves to look back on the past every now and then.

I'm sure that the tone of this post is strangely philosophical or unfitting to the rest of the forum, and possibly no one will really read it, but I just felt like writing. Maybe I'll lurk around for a bit and then take another precedented leave once again. And maybe I'll come back again. Who knows how long this forum will last?

...I wonder how many other little forum accounts you guys have scattered through the internet. Even though it's not your memory of riding your first bike, but if you're on here and posted a lot, then the internet did take up a little chunk of your life.

Sometimes you wonder what you leave behind when you move on?

I read it. I'm a sucker for nostalgia.

I only wish I had been in the forums in EXE's heyday. I only ventured over to the main site to get some episode summaries when I was at a friend's house with internet.

I recently said that I wished they would revive the EXE series and this site would be revived too, but now that I think about it, I don't think even that would breathe life into this place again. Sad
