Seriously having sad flashbacks when Stream first aired and the forums were very lively. How good things come to an end..

There are sooooo many threads stating the dead nature of this place. Like others have said before, the main series has stopped running, no new games are coming out, and a lot of people either left or stopped logging on.

On the plus side, you have people like me that peek in every now and then but umm ... yeah. The best thing to do at this point is work on a self-initiated project [ or work with other people on one ] to help generate newfound interest in MMBN.

Or, reminisce about the good ol' days.

I can't lie though, those were some great times. I gotta get a GBA SP so I can kick my best friends ass in some NetBattles again.

I completely redid the original site design I had in an effort to generate some newfound inspiration. Not only did it work, but the whole concept is being executed that much better as well.

As for the podcast, there could be a series of retrospectives for all of the MMBN games that have come out, NetBattle strategies, upcoming events, opinion pieces, fan-art, remixed MMBN music, etc.

For the NetBattle segment, I think it would be pretty neat if there was video to show recorded battles. The only problem is, roms seem to be the only way to record proper video of GBA / NDS games.

For a release schedule, I'd say something like a bi-weekly episode would be best. Even a monthly one actually. That is just because of the amount of work I probably have not accounted for.

Anyhoo, I'm just throwing ideas out there ... for something like a podcast to work, it would require participants to dedicate an undisclosed amount of time to do it justice so rotating hosts could be a great thing to have as well.

Okay, this may not be feasible but I just had a thought ... possibly getting a Skype conversation with Keiji Inafune would be something to strive for. I mean, he has his own company now and as far as I know, there aren't any MMBN-themed podcasts out there.

@Saito, I simply don't have time to start a podcast at the moment what with college / work / and finding a new apartment. I will certainly work on some related stuff to that though.

Hmm, not bad. Gave me an idea - Tabby could create chibi versions of the hosts, holding microphones or sitting behind a desk, etc., like the awesome ones done on the REO site.

Make it a show similar to shows like the View, only it wouldn't suck. Ha!

I second the idea! It's been too boring here lately. Then again, I'm still in school, so posting is hard.

Still, how are you going to get the support and assets to accomplish this feat? After all, I'm pretty sure the people on the forums are going to be busy seeing as it is the 17th of December, which is nearly a week before the holidays.

I may be getting an apartment with my best friend, who is also an avid MMBN fan. I'll pitch the idea to him to see if this is something he'd be interested in doing. If anything, something will be released in January.

I like this idea of a podcast very much. I've made guest appearances on some of my friends' podcasts and I had a lot of fun. Making one with you guys would be awesome.

I presume Skype will be our tool of choice?
