FOREWORD:
This is my first ever fanfic. I am making it based on my custom character, named Tree.EXE. Tree.EXE is not a real Rockman.EXE character, just to let you know. Some people seem to have forgotten what "custom" means. For more info, please go to Section 5. TRANSMISSION!

PRELUDE TO DELETION CH 1:
As he lied there, watching his death come swiftly upon him, he took it upon himself to ask of his deleter who he was. The navi to whom he spoke did not answer, but instead got a grim and dissatisfied look upon his face. It was almost as though he didn't want the question to be asked. He took two steps back, and then he leapt into the air and he was gone.
Tree didn't know what had happened, or why it had happened. He knew that this navi knew something of who he was, and he was determined to find out exactly what it was he knew. 'I will find this Forte, and he WILL tell me who I am and why I am here.' He forced himself to his feet, and walked with what little data he was still composed of. The data was still pouring out of him, and he knew he had to be healed quickly, or he would perish. 'There is no one around' he thought to himself, as he collapsed and passed out, hoping for the best.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Next thing he knew, he awoke in a PET. "Where am I?!" he demanded.
"You are in a PET, dear Tree.EXE. You are my new net navi, like it or not." explained a tall man with bushy sideburns and orange hair. The man was well dressed, as if he were a lawyer or something of the sort. Tree was disgusted at the idea of being a human's navigator. He didn't know why, but he had a distinct hate for humans and a strong desire to be the best.
'The way that human is dressed... maybe he has connections or money. Perhaps he has the resources I need to find and delete Forte.' thought Tree. Unfortunate for Tree, he didn't know who he was, where he came from, why he was created, or what his purposes in existence were. He awoke suddenly one day in the net and knew nothing. The only memories he has are that of the last 2 years of his life: Battling random navis and viruses, just trying to become the strongest navi ever. He never understood his power lust, or why he thought so much of a mysterious cloaked navi with a scar on his chest. He also didn't know why every time he deleted another navi or a virus, their data poured into him, or why every time he touched another navi or a virus, he gained their abilities. He thought it had something to do with this mysterious navi. In reality, just yesterday, or so he thought, he had finally met the cloaked navi, and learned that his name was Forte. Forte introduced himself to Tree as "The strongest navi" and then attacked with two large and ferocious speckled dogs on his hands. 'Why was that navi of my imagination attacking me, trying to delete me?' Tree wondered. FLASH. An image of random data in large masses just floating around in a dark area appeared to Tree, and was swept away just as quickly as it came. 'What in the hell was that?' he questioned the silence. The silence then began to turn into a low hum, sort of a muffled sound. Then the tall man's voice rang clearly into the PET.
"TREE! LISTEN UP DAMMIT!" shouted the man as Tree's eyes shot up out of the PET, startled. There is a World Three meeting today. I want you to be attentive, since it is your first meeting. You have to absorb as much information as you can."
That word. "Absorb." It seemed to buzz around in Tree's ears like a wasp. 'Why does that word appeal to me so?' he wondered. "World Three?" He asked of the tall man. "Just who are you?"
"My name is Kinzokusei Hyororito, or Kinzo for short. Before I joined the World Three, I was a steel worker, who specialized in making swords and other metal weapons. I even went so far once as to have a good friend of mine, Konpyuuta Haadouea install a small computer in one of my katana as sword dojo for navi's to learn swordsmanship. This was a brilliant idea, and navis came from the personal nets of many different countries just to train with my sword navis. I made millions! However, I learned of one far superior navi who could summon a sword at will, but not just that, I heard this same navi was a master at a kind of sword whip. I couldn't believe there could be such a talented navi who didn't bring himself to train navis in my dojo! But then I learned from the leader of the World Three how to track you. He said all I had to do was track the distinct energy signal of a very powerful navi, named Forte."
Tree gasped at first thought of being able to TRACK Forte. "Can you really track him?" he questioned of Kinzo.
"Of course. The World Three is without bounds."
"Is there a way I can be made to be able to track him?"
"Yes, there is. All I have to do it upload the program to the net for you to use." He did some typing and clicking, then Kinzo extended a long PET cord from his PC to the PET. "Giving you a copy of the program now." Immediately, a stream of data appeared in front of Tree. He was astounded that a human could be so useful to his cause. Then the data flowed directly into Tree's chest. "What the hell happened?" demanded the tall man. "I thought only Forte could absorb data! But here, Tree is using the 'Get Ability' program."
"So that is what it is. I always wondered why my body collected data every time I deleted someone. I always became stronger, and learned new abilities, but I never once complained. Only wondered."
Kinzo's eyes were wide, seeming to cry out with desperate fear. "Plug in, Tree.EXE! Transmission!" Immediately, Tree was on the net. "Tree. Activate the tracking program." He did so, as was requested of him. Two targets were identified.
One a great distance away, and one standing where Tree stood...
"Just as a I thought. Forte created you, didn't he?" Tree's jaw hung wide, and he stumbled back in fear, landing on his rear. His eyes were shuddering, and his hair stood up on end.
"But... why would--" his sentence was cut short by another flash and an eerie image in his mind. This time, the image showed data streaming downward, or what appeared to be downward, and then the site of being thrust out of tan gloved hands. Data collecting into one being, and then the start of his memories. Seeing Forte standing ominously before him, then disappearing as he fainted. "I get it now. Forte and I are one. Why I always sought him, why I absorbed abilities, why I feast for hunger, why I despise--" he stopped, being reluctant to offend his new operator. "What were the speckled dogs he had on his hands?"
"Did they look kind of like this?" asked Kinzo, as he held up a sketch of a certain program.
"Yes, exactly like that, but they were just heads."
"The dogs you saw were part of a program named Gospel. He was thought to be the ultimate creation of the World Three. A dominant virus that deleted all in it's path. However, Forte managed to use his data absorption to fuse with Gospel."
"So why am I not able to summon these 'Gospel' heads? I was created from him, and I have all of his attacks."
"Well," began Kinzo, "if he created you before he absorbed Gospel, you wouldn't have that ability. All abilities he gained after creating you are his, and his alone. You don't have a data link, so you don't get his new abilities."
"So why did he create me? Why wouldn't he answer me when I asked him who I was? Why did he try to delete me?" questioned Tree.
"You were created to aid in the destruction and absorption of Gospel." rang in a familiar voice. Tree spun around to spot Forte standing peaked atop a giant version of Gospel.
"F- Forte-sama." Tree stammered. "But Kinzo-sama said that you absorbed Gospel on your own."
"Not on my own. Rockman had managed to damage Gospel very badly with his Saito and Bug styles. Were it not for Rockman, I wouldn't have been able to absorb Gospel. That is why I created you, Tree.EXE. You were going to help me absorb him at the same time. However, I couldn't have you collect data and become stronger with me around. You would only use my strength as a support to be weak. So I left you alone, questions unanswered, to let you become strong on your own--"
"What is your reasoning! If I tried so hard to become powerful with you not there, what makes you think you being there would have stopped me?" Suddenly the ground beneath Tree was destroyed, and Tree flew back and up in an arc, about 30 feet high, and 20 feet back. Plummeting to the ground.
"SILENCE." demanded Forte, hand still aglow from the blast he just hurled at Tree. "By the time you had become strong enough to aid me in the destruction of Gospel, I had become strong enough to do it myself, or so I thought. I was almost deleted. When I returned to Gospel for another try, Rock had already been there, fighting him. After Rock deleted Gospel, I absorbed the data released from him. Making me even stronger. So now, you are obsolete!" Forte shouted as he leapt down to attack Tree...
To be continued.
AUTHOR'S NOTES:
My nick is Tree, and I have been a longstanding fan of Rockman ever since I was a young child. Once the Rockman.EXE games rolled around, I instantly adored them, since they were a new twist on the seemingly cliché 6 Rockman games before. I took a liking to it and started playing the games. A little after the first game, I decided I wanted to make a custom character for the EXE games, and related him to my favorite character of the games/show/manga, Forte-sama. I then began doing sketches of a character that I thought looked cool. I couldn't quite get the vision down on paper. So he was cast aside for a while. Once the EXE 4 games came out, I looked at all the souls for inspiration. It was with this new inspiration that I finished my sketches, and then moved on to spriting the character. I have done 32-bit sprites and 8-bit sprites. Although, making an 8-bit sprite of an EXE character was kind of pointless, and I just did it for the hell of it. Anyways, I am getting off topic. Once I came up with the base of the character, I decided to make a story for him. I then made little notes about how since Forte collects all kinds of data and stuff that the data could collaborate inside him, and become an EXE. So then I just browsed the manga and the episodes and stuff and decided how I would make up his past. The chain rod that Zero carries in the Rockman Zero games will be talked about in the next chapter of this fic, but the sword really needs no explanation. People who have seen my sprite asked me why he has Blue's sword. It isn't Blue's sword, it is just a default sword. Nothing miraculous about it. The sprite is at http://67.18.37.17/602/69/upload/p1553716.gif
I want to write about 5 or so chapters of this fic, but I don't know if I can keep it creative or not for that long. Is it creative right now? >.> Either way, I will do as many more chapters as I can, all the while attempting to keep it entertaining and original. Probably by the time I am done with the next chapter, I will have uploaded scans of my sketches for you folks to see.
Thank you for reading the first chapter of my fic, and here's to more great chapters to come! [TOASTS]
