8/25/2004 :: This week's episode of Axess #46 was entitled, "Net Police Great Battle!". Beware, spoilers below. On we go!
The episode begins with Enzan working away at his computers. He inserts a disk with the word "Rauru" (which I believe is suppossed to be Raoul) into one of the disk trays. As something pops up on screen, Enzan suddenly becomes very surprised, exclaiming "I see!"
Enzan reveals his findings to Comissioner Kifune and his assistant Manabe: Dr. Regal is hiding in outer space, by using a stealth satellite. While they know he's up there, they still can't pinpoint his exact location. When Manabe asks how Enzan found out about Regal's satellite, Enzan shows them the disk from Raoul, which contains important data. Enzan then shows them a basic layout of Regal's satellite.
Meanwhile, up in space, Dr. Regal watches the calm Earth below from his invincible satelitte. He laughs at the Net Police as he watches a squad on his monitors. He gloats that no one can find him no matter how hard they try.
At the Science Labs, Yuuichirou is working on the production of a special chip. When Netto asks what it does, Yuuchirou explains that they can use it to cure one who has been infected with a dark aura. (dundundun) As Enzan stares at the chip, Yuuichirou pats his shoulder, reassuring him that they will help Blues return to normal again. Enzan gives him his thanks.
Yuuichirou then talks about how they are going to track down Regal's satellite. He shows on a monitor four points that surround the Earth, each one bouncing off a signal. When those points are connected, a full circle forms around the globe. Netto thinks it'll be easy to track down Regal, but Enzan reminds him that it it is still a difficult situation. Yuuchirou then pipes in that there's sure a way to find him: Control X!
If one would remember, Control X was introduced way back in Episode 12. Dr. Regal attacked the brand new system of Control X, that was being used to support airplane traffic via satellite. He was afraid that the satellites would detect him in outer space. His mission was successful, and his location was never found at that time.
Enzan is designated as the leader of the Net Police investigation, which will use Control X to pinpoint Dr. Regal's location in space. While Enzan is setting up the system, Anetta arrives to pay him a visit. When he asks why she's here, she simply responds that she wants to wish him good luck. She's also packed a yummy lunch for him, "Anetta's California Rolls"! (Sushi) Despite its bad looks, Enzan finds that it actually tastes quite good.
At the main Net Police headquarters, Netto gawks at all the security navis that have been set in place to protect the Control X system. That's not all, however. A familiar voice announces as the door opens behind them.
Laika: "Excuse me. Japan Net Police, I report for duty. Sharo Country Net Savior, Laika."
Netto is overjoyed to be reunited with Laika again, and likewise the once very stern Net Savior offers a smile of welcome in return. Manabe receives a notice on her PET, notifying them that the Control X system is ready to be activated. As things prepare to begin, both Netto and Laika plug in their navis to help protect the investigation. Rockman and Searchman are happy to be fighting alongside each other once again.
In the computer lab, Enzan tells Anetta that she should return home now, because they don't know what Nebula might do in retaliation. However, she plans to stick by Enzan's side regardless of his warnings. Enzan receives word from Kifune that everything is set. With the go ahead, Enzan pushes the mighty red button, and Control X is activated!
The 4 satellites in space begin to bounce off their signals, just like in Yuuichirou's demonstration. As the circle of communication is completed, a giant globe appears on screen, which is circled by the many possible positions that Dr. Regal may be hiding in. It's up to the Control X system to slowly dismiss the false locations, and track down Dr. Regal's hidden satellite.
Dr. Regal himself, who is still aboard his satellite, is surprised when a warning signal begins to go off. He becomes immensly angered when he realizes that the Net Police are attempting to track him down. Refusing to not go down without a fight, Dr. Regal reveals his own surprise: A ressurected army of every Dark Loid that had previously been deleted! This includes Burnerman, Plantman, Swordman, Beastman, Flashman, Desertman, Coldman, Videoman, Bowlman, Sparkman, Gravityman, Brightman, and Starman!
Back at the Net Police Headquarters, their own warning beacons begin to go off when something attacks the firewall that is protecting the mainframe computer. Rockman, Searchman, and all of the other Net Police navis line up in a row, pointing their weapons at the door that leads into their area. Each navi waits in silence as the door begins to quiver from an onslought on the other side.
As the door finally gives way, every navi lets loose their attacks. A familiar voice bellows out "Gravity Drive!", which repels all of the plasma shots. Rockman is ultimately shocked when he realizes that its Gravityman, who was suppossed to be deleted! Not only that, but ALL of the once dead Dark Loids have returned! It's an old fashioned showdown between the Dark Loids and the Net Police.
Rockman stunningly asks, "What's going on?" Beastman states that they will all defeat the Net Police. Enzan tells Netto to hold them off long enough for him to track down Regal's location with the Control X system. "I'll trust in you, Netto!"
Desertman starts things off as he begins to delete security navis with his "Lion Head!" attack. Likewise, Starman helps out with the devastating "Meteor!". Netto retaliates against the onslought as he slots in the Guts Soul chip, transforming Rockman.
Guts Soul Rockman immediatly drives his fist into the ground with the "Guts Punch!" attack, creating a cloud of dust. Desertman loses sight of Rockman, until the smaller navi bursts out of the cloud of debris, and shoots himself straight through the Dark Loid's giant head, deleting him. Starman suffers the same fate as Rockman pummels him into the ground, deleting him as well.
Searchman fires off his "Scope Gun!", punching a hole right through a defenseless Coldman. Bowlman charges up his firing arm, and flings off his "Gattling Pin!" attack, taking out a few more of the meek security navis. Guts Soul Rockman is caught in surprise by Videoman's "Wind Cutter!", and is knocked clear off his feet.
As Searchman prepares to attack again, he's fet face to face with the much bigger navi, Gravityman. The Dark Loid activates his "Gravity Drive!", which pins Searchman to the floor under the immense amount of gravity pressure. Laika calls out to his navi in a worried voice.
In the computer room, the Control X system narrows down the possibilities of Dr. Regal's location. When one of the computer cables suddenly snaps, Enzan curses the Dark Loid's interferance. The boy quickly tells Anetta to take station at one of the computers containing important data code to help him out.
Meanwhile, Videoman is back to his old ways as he strangles Guts Soul Rockman with his video reel tape. Netto quickly helps his navi out of the situation by slotting in the Wood Soul chip. Videoman is surprised when Rockman activates his default "Woody Tower!" attack, which allows him to break free. The impending attack also sliced through Videoman's reel tape, much to his dismay. Wood Soul Rockman finishes things off as he impales Videoman with a "Side Bamboo!" attack, deleting the Dark Loid.
Searchman continues to struggle under Gravitymay's attack, as the giant Dark Loid advances, stating "Delete! Delete!" A sudden *click* alerts Gravityman to Searchman's rifle aimed directly at his rombust midsection. Laika's navi releases a rifle shot at point blank range, deleting Gravityman for good.
Wood Soul Rockman comes up from behind Searchman, and asks if he's okay. A panting Searchman leans on his rifle arm, and shortly replies that he is. The scream of another defeated security navi brings their attentions to Brightman and Flashman, so once again they charge off to fight more Dark Loids.
Netto slots in the Fire Soul chip, transforming Rockman yet again. Fire Soul Rockman initiats his "Fire Arm!", and proceeds to immediatly delete Brightman (awww). Flashman raises his hand and fires off a "Neon Light!" (NEON RAITO! heehee. I really missed some of these chars). Likewise, Sparkman shoots off his "Spark Wave!", both attacks aimed right at Rockman. Thankfully however, Netto re-transformed him back to Wood Soul, allowing him to absorb both attacks without damage.
Rockman retaliates with his "Kogarashi!" attack, a tornado gust flying from his buster, and sending both Flashman and Sparkman hurtling into the air. Netto then uses the Roll Soul chip, allowing Rockman to snipe the two into deletion with his "Roll Arrow!"
Afterwards, Rockman notices Searchman battling fiercly against Swordman. Rockman tries to go and help him, but Searchman demands that he go ahead of him, and protect the Control X program without him. Despite being worried, Rockman agrees, and takes off on his own. As Searchman watches him go, he's attacked by Burnerman's "Strike Burner!", flinging him back into a smoking heap.
The disruptions caused by the intruders is causing mayhem all over the building, as explosions can be seen by a crowd watching from the outside on the streets. Oddly enough, the Shuryou robot is standing among them. Giving a slight "hmph", Shuryou turns around and walks into a nearby building. Inside, he places his hand on a computer panel, allowing several tendrils to leak out from his fingertips, plugging himself into the net. Indeed, inside the internet, Forte reappears in his well known navi form. (Simple reminder: Forte inhabited Shuryou's body at the end of EXE episode 51)
Meanwhile, deep underground Shademan's old Dark Loid castle, Bubbleman weeps in front of a statue of his beloved leader. "Ah, Shademan-sama....what am I suppossed to do now de puku?!" As if to answer his question, Forte appears floating well above him. "Eh, who are you de puku?"
Forte offers no reply, but instead reaches out a single gloved hand, and begins emitting energy into the silent statue of Shademan.
At the computer lab, Anetta is slowly repeating the data numbers that appear on the screen before her. After a moment, the Control X program narrows down the possible locations of Dr. Regal to an even smaller number. Anetta exclaims, "Just a little more!". However, yet another cable breaks apart in sparks, and emergancy warnings begin to go off throughout the entire building. It's no longer safe to stay inside!
The impeding warning only makes Enzan work harder at the controls. Meanwhile, everyone is evacuating the main control room, including Comissioner Kifune and Manabe. However, both Netto and Laika decide to stay behind, because Enzan is depending on them. They'll protect the Control X no matter what! Both Netto and Laika smile in agreement with each other.
Inside the net, Bowlman fires off another round of his "Gattling Pin!", this time at Roll Soul Rockman. Netto decides it's time for a change, so he transforms Rockman yet again. This time Metal Soul Rockman aims in for the attack, and lands a hard right punch to Bowlman's jaw, deleting him instantly.
Just as Rockman lands, Plantman ensares him with his "Plant Weed!". As Plantman holds him in his trap, Beastman fires off his limbs in the "Wild Rush!" attack, smacking Rockman rather ferociously. When the two prepare to attack again, shots from Searchman's rifle snipe away the plants holding Rockman hostage.
The two Dark Loids turn around to face Searchman, who is very out of breath. The exhausted navi finally collapses, having met his limit in strength. Laika calls out to his navi desperately, who will not respond. Netto slots in the Wind Soul chip, allowing Rockman to delete Plantman with the "Fujin Racket!".
With his comrade gone, Beastman goes in for the kill, attacking Rockman head on with his claws. Rockman barely manages to shield himself with the racket. At that moment, Dimensional Converters begin to pop up everywhere, and create a Dimensional Area around the building!
As Manabe questions the purpose of the Dimensional Area, Comissioner Kifune realizes that the Dark Loids are going to go straight to the source of the Control X. Enzan! Netto realizes this as well, and immediatly takes off to go help his friend.
Indeed, the evil Dark Loid himself, Dark Blues, materializes in a hallway of the building. As security doors begin to slam shut in front of him, he merely smirks and raises his blade.
Inside the net, Beastman continues to battle a now Blues Soul Rockman. The smaller navi finally manages to delete the last of the ressurected Dark Loids with the "Sonic Boom!" sword swipe. With the fighting over, Rockman collapses, very weary and out of energy. He informs Netto that all of the Dark Loids have been defeated.
Enzan is furiously trying to complete the search for Dr. Regal, narrowing down the possible locations even further. Anetta becomes excited, because there are now only three choices left. However, at that moment the door explodes open, and Dark Blues enters the room. Enzan quickly exclaims, "Blues!"
Despite Anetta's cries to stop what he's doing, Blues continues to advance towards them, laughing to himself. As he raises his blade, a very quick R Rockman comes charging in from the side, and pins Blues to the wall! (We can see from here that R Rockman barely comes up to Blues' shoulders. O_o Dark Blues prolly grew a bit taller in his Dark Loid transformation, since Blues and Rockman were originally the same height. Or maybe Netto's just short. XD)
Enzan: "Netto!"
R Rockman: "Hurry up, Enzan! I'll hold Blues here!"
Enzan quickly replies, "I understand!", and hurriedly sets back to work on pinpointing down Dr. Regal. Dark Blues becomes infuriated, yelling to "Get off!", then shoves R Rockman away from him. Meanwhile, Enzan narrows down the locations to only two possibilities.
Seeing his time limited, Dark Blues attacks R Rockman head on, sword to sword. With not a moment to waste, Blues activates the powers of his dark aura, and slices R Rockman's sword in half. Knowing that he's won, Blues knocks R Rockman across the room with his "Delta Ray Edge!", and Netto falls out of Cross Fusion.
With R Rockman out of the way, Dark Blues charges full speed towards Enzan with his blade raised. Right at that moment, Dr. Regal's secret location is tracked down! Enzan successfully yells, "We've found you! Dr. Regal!" However, Blues strikes the mainframe computer directly, causing it to explode! With the computer destroyed, the revealed location on the moniter dissappears. Blues smirks as he stands to face the two, smugly stating "Too bad for you, Enzan." He then logs out, and the Dimensional Area fades away.
Enzan glares where Blues had been, while Anetta checks on Netto to see if he's okay. As Netto gets back to his feet, Enzan walks up to him, and apologizes for losing the data. However, not all may have been lost! Anetta perks up and runs over to a computer, and begins typing in numbers. As she hits the entry key, Control X reactivates! Not only that, but the location of Dr. Regal reappears as well!
Enzan asks what she did, and Anetta simply responds that she remembered the data code. The two boys look at her with dumbfounded and surprised expressions, then silently look at each other and smile with relief.
Meanwhile, at Shademan's castle, Forte finishes distributing the mass amount of energy into the statue. With the process completed, the real Shademan bursts free from the statue, reborn again! Bubbleman is obviously overjoyed at his master's return, and crawls to his vampire navi's feet.
Bubbleman: "Shademan-sama! Shademan-sama!"
Shademan: ".....Bubbleman?"
Bubbleman: "Thank goodness.....oh thank goodness!" ("hounto ni yokatta de puku!")
Shademan: "What happened to me?"
Bubbleman: "It was him de puku!"
Bubbleman goes on to explain that Forte transfered energy to him, so that he may revive once again. Shademan demands to know who this new stranger is, and the reason why he saved him. Forte mentions the Dark Loids, then dissappears almost as quickly as he came. (We know at this point that Forte does not want to join the Dark Loids, when he scoffed at Blues' offer a few episodes ago. He most likely revived Shademan because he knows that he'll go after them with a vengance. But then, this is only my opinion.)
After Forte leaves them, Shademan is still unclear of his intentions.
Shademan: "What did that guy mean?"
Bubbleman: "Shademan-sama..."
Shademan: "Nevermind that...it's of no matter."
Shademan is obviously less than pleased that he was sealed away because of the treason of Dr. Regal and his navi Laserman. Shademan clentches his fist as he looks towards the ceiling above, "I won't forget, Dr. Regal! I'll definately never forgive you!"

Forte. <3
This was an....interesting episode, to say the least. It was very fun seeing all the old badies come back, even if it was short lived. I think the fact that it WAS so short lived that was its only downside. Many of our favourites barely got a line or two in, or none at all. *snort* Ah well. Dark Blues' hair was extra fluffy this episode. heehee. (*fondly remembers strawberry shampoo*)
Next episode, it's back into space! The last Soul Unison is likely to appear (Junk you up! W00t!), and more Dark Blues! Yay hey. Don't miss it!
