Because of some confusion by me my last two topics were moved into this one. The newest one will be in my most recent post.
--------------------------
Stream PETs (no more requests, please)
--------------------------
Posted: Sat Jul 16, 2005 4:09 am Post subject: Animated Stream PETs (Last Update: July 19th 2005)
These are my custom made, vector-based, RockMan.exe Stream PETs. The collection will continue to grow as I make more and more. Below you will find three differnt versions of each PET.
First and foremost, you will find a smaller, GIF file with the Navi inside. These are the Signature size files and are to be used for exactly that if you so wish to. The ONLY request is that if you do use one for your sig...just make the image itself link back to this thread. If you do that, it takes up less room in your sig with having to credit me. Also, it saves me having to watermark them on you guys.
Second, you will find a PNG file. This is the larger, more detailed version of the PET for those of you who cannot view .swf (Shockwave Flash) files. This is essentially the same as the next one, but this is simply that, an image file (PNG). Note that the image of the character/navi inside was drawn completely by me. Not, it's not official art..it was me...so please don't claim the images as your own if you're thinking of doing so...I put effort into these...please respect that.
Lastly, you will find a Shockwave Flash file (.swf) version of the PET. If you've even been to Newgrounds.com and the flash movies worked for you there...these will work too. =0P What's so goo about these ones? Well, for starters, the PET background is animated which gives it a more realistic feeling. That, and because it's a vector-based image, you can right click and "zoom" in on the picture to see the details closer which is definatly a nice touch in my oppinion.
Thank you guys and enjoy! Please check back for updates and requests will be taken ONE at a time...if you see a reservation for a PET and it's EMPTY...that means someone has requested one and I'm not done it yet...therefore....you cannot request one yet. Don't work...I'll work hard to make sure I don't take TOO long to do them.
Also, if you're making a request...please make it of a Navi that exists...and if it's a fanNavi...please think of ME and provide a well-drawn picture of it for me to work from as reference as well as the Navi symbol. Thank you.

I know it's been a while since I posted, and I know this barely warrents a post, but I wanted to try my hand at Meijin cross Punk...so....I give you my first version of R Punk.

I plan to redo him seeing as I feel this design is too busy, but alas, someday soon I'll be good at CFs.
Anyway, C&C please... :D

Interesting designs, reminds me of a toy I've seen before that has a similar container but carries candy inside.
However, Ageman, I'm going to have to call your attention once more. It's been asked to you in the past to please try to keep all your artwork within one thread. So far you keep making a new thread everytime you post new fanart, in most of cases there's at least one topic of yours in the second page:
"If it's possible, I'd like it if you keep your art in one thread. You CAN start a new topic, but your older one MUST be at least to the third page." You can read this in our rules sticky.
As you can confirm, HERE you have not one but two topics still in the second page. Please, in the future update this one thread for your artwork. It helps people to keep track and localize your artwork better and avoids pushing other people's artwork several pages behind if everyone tries to keep their artwork within one topic.
Thanks in advance. _________________ Hecha en MÉXICO - Avatar by Me.

@PlantMan - sorry again, I moved my posts from the other two topics to this one and although I can't move the comments made by the other members, this'll have to do. You can delete/lock the other two if you wish now as I've moved 'em both to here.

Well, while I can't post screenshots or whatnot of the Flash movie, I'll post ideas, concept art, and the like. My first thing I'd like comments on, is this:
My design for the new PET used in my Flash movie - the e-PET.
Looksie!

What do you guys think?

As I said, you can keep this one, the others stay for reference of your older artwork. We only request to do the one-thread-thing for people to keep better track of your artwork and personal file where you can see your own improvements, helps new users to have access to your older artwork as well. _________________ Hecha en MÉXICO - Avatar by Me.

Dayam...looking at all the features of the new one makes me want to go out and BUY one is what I think! Of course, that was probably the point of this ad :O
That said, all the new features of this PET are very creative and sound like excellent ideas that could be awesome if they actually were to be used in a future Battle Network game. _________________ Better to keep your mouth shut and make people wonder if you are stupid, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt. |

It's a very nice concept overall, but from a design standpoint, there's a little bit lacking.
Chips are more durable and they're guaranteed to work. With a swipe card, you might have to swipe twice, and a mere chip or gash on the data strip can corrupt the card. The slot to slide the cards through is a bit too narrow at the edges as well. It's hard to aim for such a narrow slot, especially in stressful situations that require exact timing (like tournaments). To remedy this, I suggest notching the ends out at a somewhat steep angle, so the slot is a wider target. Something along these lines.
On a side note, how would the D-Base work? It seems just a too small to substatiate Navis. Sure, the Dimensional Chips were small too, but I'm betting Duo's asteroid was the power source. Perhaps you can incorporate some sort of wireless power transmission system into your description - dunno, perhaps a Dimensional Field Generator? Also, would this be restricted to certain officials, or would this be freely available to the public with limits on Navi abilities when substatiated? It's a very original concept, but it needs some elaboration. _________________ *placeholder* |

Thanx Tachyon360, that was kickbutt. See, that's the kinda comments & crit that I like. Lol.
But yeah, totally considered and agreed with everything you said there. So, I adjucted the design accordingly (while making one other minor change - I forgot to add buttons) and also documented the other stuff your bought up. So....take a read. It's now spread across three pages - tell me what ya think...

That's much better. I'd also suggest replacing the TFT display with an OLED display, or even a micro plasma display. Hey, it's the future isn't it? _________________ *placeholder* |

While I could have, it was sort of unecessary. Most operations are done with the Holographic TouchMenus so that screen is barely ever used and there is nothing wrong with LCD displays especially when it's only needed for a screen that small. While I could have put it - it would only be because it has a flash name - and really, while it is the future, it would greatly raise the price for a feature that no noe would really care about. Lol. But thanx for all the earlier suggestions....

New Navi Alert! SpinMan.EXE & HardMan.EXE
-------------------------------------------
Again, another new Navi added to the mix of the upcoming Flash movie, SpinMan.exe! You're prolly thinking 'rip-off-of-TopMan' - well, this was MY design for TopMan before they released BN3 and made their own so now I'm using it in the Flash movie as you-know-who's grandson with his name changed to SpinMan! : D Win! And why is HardMan.exe in this post even though I posted him a long time ago? Well, because I posted him a long time ago and he got lost and to keep with this new "centralize your artwork" approach I have to take, I figured I'd put him where he belongs as he's also a MegaMan EXE: Starseed Navi. Win. What do ya think of Spinman (and/or) HardMan?

The PET's are interesting and while the cards may be different they could work like battle chips. (So is there a sychro card too?) |

Yes, they could work like BattleChips - or at least I'm hopign they can, lol, it's the whole point of 'em. Think of it as Season 4 of DigiMon where they used the cards to "Digi-Modify" their DigiMon. Lol. But instead of modifying the digimon, you're sending battle program data to your Net Navi. As for the idea of a synchro-card - there is no such thing. Why? Well, if you read page two it explains that HikariNet(tm) reaches the entire world now (HikariNet being a wide-scale Dimensional Area) and D-Chip (the same technology that used to be in the Sunchro Chips) is embedded into the "D-Base" of the ePET. In short, you don't need a card because all you need is your ePET and a HikariNet(tm) Dimensional Area signal over 77% (which is essentially everwhere). Do note though, while this changes the way in which Cross Fusion is preformed, it does NOT change the way of obtaining. While it is now possible at any location, it is not possible with every Navi/Operator. There still needs to be that bond..just like before.

Very, very nice. I love vector~ Everything's so crisp, smooth, and resizing doesn't harm the file what-so-ever...

Still, it's your work, so whatever floats your boat.
Just one question: Does the D-Base substantiate Navis, or does it initiate Cross Fusion? Your last post made it kinda ambiguous.
Nice Navis, BTW. Spinman seems to be a bit too similar in concept to Topman, though. If it helps, the name Spinman makes me imagine a late-1970's/early-1980's DJ with a big afro. _________________ *placeholder* |

You are completely right in the fact that it would cost peauts. I'll change that in my next update - I didn't see much need for such a sharp image considering how small the ePET is, but again, you're right and I"ll do it 'cause it makes sense.
About the D-Base...
You see, the demensional chips had a certain type of technology embedded in them which took data and converted it to matter...but it tool one hell of a lot of energy to do so. The Dimensional Chips got the energy and the extra power they needed from Duo's Comet.
Cross Fusion is similar, in a way, that the Syncho-Chip has the technology to turn data into matter (and fuse it with a human being) and because the Snchro-Chip wasn't powerfull enough on it's own, it needs the aid of....a Dimensional Area.
HikariNet was created by Lan's father right before Lan took over and at the time only served as a world-wide wireless network (so that one could jack into the net from anywhere). Lan and Meijin (who at this point had reached his late 30's) teamed up and upgraded HikariNet to include 103 Dimensional Satellites which would send a second signal - a Dimensional Area signal. With this, when a Dimensional Area was required, it was relayed to the closest D-Satellite above earth and the Dimensional Area would not form around the area - but directly around the individual (be it human for CF or Navi) using it. The only problem was that one had to be immensly close to one of the 103 D-Satellites up in space in order for them to have a strong enough signal to preform CF or the like.
HikariNet was continually updated to what you see in the diagram - 7 years later. Now, the amount of D-Satellites has nearly trippled and (nearly) anywhere on the planet can aquire a signal strong enough to preform CF or RNTs.
The D-Base is based on the massive amounts of research conducted by Lan and Meijin together which incorperates both the technology of the Synchro-Chips, but also that of the Dimensional Chips left behind by Slur's human manaces.
Does that help at all?

Well you see, when my Flash Movie was still a comic, I had a contest where a bunch of people made-up aqua Navi's and sent them to me. The winner would have said Navi become one of the main character's (Marina) Net Navi. Before I got to annouce the winner, I was forced to move to a new foster home and all my stuff got left on the old computer and stress and blah blah blah and I completely dicthed the comic and forgot about the contest. Lol. Two years later I start the comic back up again and I found this folder called "contest" on my webhost/server and what did it have? Alll the entries! So I picked the one I loved the most - Shella.EXE - and chose it to be Marina's Net-Navi. The is, I want to let the person know and I have NO IDEA who did this submission - so, I figure if I put it in my sig, said person might call me on it and say "Hey! etc. etc." and then the mystery would be solved. Lol. That's about it though...

Yes, another Navi for my Flash movie. I bet it'll be easy to tell who gets this guy - and yes, there is a very heavy and obvious reason he bares much resemblance to NumberMan.exe. So yeah, like?
